   One of the Best
Chris van Dusen is one of the country's leading children's writers. I am a Secondary School English Teacher with a 4-year-old daughter. What a travesty it is to see how awful most modern day children's books pass as acceptable literature. Chris Van Dusen's writing is very different, his story is very good. My over all favourite book of his would have to be A Camping Spree with Mr Magee, but if I had to pick one I would have to say If I Built a House. I recommend this book highly to anyone who reads it.

the graphics (classic 50s style) are great, as is the story
Just as with the car book, the graphics are great, as is the story. We're delighted we found this book, said Janet Robinson, director of marketing for the Postal Service.

Great story and is a child favorite
The illustrations are detailed and fun, and the story is whimsical—with Dr. Seuss kind of feel in the way it rhymes and flows. It's a book that can help inspire creativity, and as I've read, has been read MANY times over in her household.

   Poor shipping choice
The book itself is exactly what we were looking for, Mr. Dhaliwal said. The package was "poor choice," said Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in California.

   Best books
I can't say enough about this author's books. We're huge fans of the Minions, and they're all our favorite. We've got three of his books and I want to get them all, my boys love them!

My 6 year old LOVES it! The illustrations are by Frank Quattrone and are well done.

I read this book to my son every night.
This book is a must-have for any Harry Potter fan. I can't imagine a more fitting introduction to my son than this book will make up of his childhood. He has a very good reputation, and I read this to him every night. We have a stack of children's books and I ask him to pick three books in the pile for me to read to him and he always pulls out a combination of three books that includes this book, or even if I build a car." The rhyming book illustrations, such as the one by Dr. Seuss, keep the engagement. Hey Sir, if I built a train, or if I built airplane, we would buy them. No wonder Microsoft already owns all the patents. Is this what you want?

   Will spark imagination!
My kids absolutely love all the books. Then I bought if I built a car and from there we needed all of the books my kids could read multiple times a week. The illustrations and storylines are so fun, I almost fell over. The Quid'' is perfect for the classroom to spark imagination. It was a natural progression for my son to want to write and illustrate his own "if I built a ____."

Not as good as original but cute
Not as smooth reading or as funny as the If I Built a Car book, but I have ordered the school one too because they are still cute.

   family favorite
My kids and I have fallen in love with the series of pictures books by Chris Van Dusen. The stories are great for sparking imagination and the illustrations are so cute, they're just too. Imagine, for example, how fun it would be to let your imagination run wild and build a house with every fun thing you can imagine. A new book about the Beatles' life has arrived in bookstores.
