A beautifully crafted book with even more beauty inside!
Derived From Web , Jul 18, 2020
What a beautiful book from cover to cover pages. Design is of course the style and kind of encouragement for the artist. The decorative examples of highly attractive patterned elements inspired me to attempt some decorative surface painting on several wooden objects I had refinished. I have several Scandinavian based elegant arts books I love and now this book, based on the colorful, charming and captivating world of eastern European folklore, inspired me again. There are examples of unexpected crafts in the book, which was several. Like the homemade rubber stamping on fabric. If you are building a library of images for reference and love a well designed book, this is perfect for you. If you are at that time feeling down and need to create this book, it will be a joyous inspiration! The price is remarkable for its quality and its content.

Less of a guide book, more of an autobiography.
Derived From Web , Apr 2, 2020
Similarly, to an online food blog, the author spends more time telling you about her childhood than on how to make folk art. Instructions include phases like add folk art motif with no previous instructions on what this entails despite being the supposed subject of the book. Her collection of project ideas '' is apparently a series of photos of craft that she has done with no instructions or information. The only thing you learn is to create carbon copies of her work, as she leads you through her feelings of her own artistic process. There were occasions where she described the process of creating a piece that was clearly not pictured. Great book if you are already a fan of this artist and simply wanted to learn about her grandmother, her daughter, her cat, her achievements or look at a collection of her art. Not an ideal book for any aspiring artists who want to learn how to create their own art in a folk style.

Beautiful and inspiring
Derived From Web , Feb 15, 2020
Beautiful book with gorgeous designs. It is like a tutorial mixed with an encouragement to find your own style of art that speaks to you through folk art. I already made cards with this and my receivers love them! You don 't even need to learn from this book, but have a willing mind to do some of the art without the lengthy details. Plus, the end pages are beautiful and the paper quality is nice.

A Delightful Motivation
Derived From Web , Dec 1, 2019
Her work is delightful and inspiring. She gives many examples of new work that is incentives to try beautiful ideas and designs. The art is motivation to start with personal original illustrations and not have step by step instructions. Some reviewers were disappointed that there is little direction to follow, but the examples and sketches are creative sparks to influence originality.

Derived From Web , Sep 14, 2019
If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. Imagine Forest is a fairy tale in the beautiful style of drawing. Dinara Mirtalipova is incredibly talented and shares her wonderful gift with us. I can t wait to draw again absolutely. Some of Dinara's ideas for drawing flowers are super helpful. In short, I love this book and I am SO GLAD that I bought it.

Delightful look at a folk artist's work.
Derived From Web , Jul 22, 2019
This is a delightful book to look at. It mainly showcases the artwork of the author. The author is from Uzbekistan and her art has a certain Russian-Scandinavian feel. The author shows how she creates her art, but there is little instruction on how to actually create your own art. The project ideas in the back of the book are actually just pictures of completed projects. I do recommend this book as I love the work of the artist. If you find my review helpful, mark it.

I LOVE this book
Derived From Web , Dec 15, 2017
I've always loved this book as a folk artist myself. It is beautiful and inspirational. I have not even finished looking through it, I received it really and I love it, I feel compelled to write a review. I don 't know what you are looking for, but if you love the cover, you will love the book. There is a kind of how to create the look, but it is to inspire you not to help you make a particular item. This will make your imagination race... So happy I came across it accidentally ''. I want Dinara to know my friend and be her friend.

Imagine A Forest
Derived From Web , Jan 25, 2017
Dinara presents several step-by-step instructions on how to draw flowers, foliage, insects and animals. I kind of wish that there were more how-to's in the book. She puts a lot of faith in our abilities to figure it out for ourselves and I have to appreciate it. The last section is focused on project ideas. Again not a lot of instruction, but she shows ways to use folk art around the home.
