Complex system explained simply

This is a very good book. My child loves it. The authors have taken the very complex processes and all of the cellular participants in the immune system and presented them in small chapters and simple language. If you want to understand how your body defends against infections and why it mostly wins but sometimes loses, this is for you.

I love this book. I need to understand the immune system and my own challenges with it by returning to it. The drawings are the most illuminating. It's a great way to learn about a major system of your body without beingbogged down in medical jargon.

Political agenda pushing vaccines.

Returned it immediately after purchase. Being a nurse, I was really disappointed in the political agenda in the book. The human immune system is capable of fighting any disease if it has adequate nutrition, daily exposure to sunlight and regular exercise. Do not push vaccines on people. Those are created in a lab. A strong immune system will always be better than a vaccine.
