Gets the job done

An easy mostly painless progressive course to improve the sight-reading skills and rhythms. Not real exciting exercises, but they progress slowly enough that you aren 't overwhelmed. Great for the person who finds they can play the piano better than they can read the sight. Even with piano lessons from a well above average teacher, this book helped.

Good stuff

They introduce things in the appropriate order, and there is a lot of useful advice on how to prepare before playing. It is also very affordable, and you get a lot for your money, unlike some other sight-reading methods. Recommended :

Really helps

After a year of piano playing, I knew that I needed to practice my sight reading. I started with Book 1 and thought I could get through it pretty quickly. It was a little more difficult than I thought. It is an excellent book and I've noticed that it has helped me learn new pieces. I 'll keep on with the next books.
