   Good, could be better
I liked the content, but was disappointed by the small size of the book, which limited the beauty of the paintings. A larger format would have been better. For those interested in initiating little ones to Van Gogh, especially for classroom use, I recommend Vincent's colors appropriate for ages 2- 5.
   Child loves it
The two-year-old boy loves it. We were happy that it had some classic images and different colors than most children's books today. They all have strong colors, few words and not much in the way a book should have. This calls for thought. Not just the recognition of the object, but its different from what they see normally. The images are muted and pastel. Not wild and shocking like some other children's books. Our son loves the concept of the book and so does our son.
   A gorgeous little book
This is a beautiful little book, one in a series to introduce small children to the works of famous artists and help them gain early appreciation. It is small, printed on sturdy cardboard with beautiful full color illustrations and a short poem for each. At the end, the short name and an actual note are provided on each painting. They correspond to the Cozy Classics series of books introducing famous children to small written works like Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, etc. In a world where rude and coarse seem to rule, it is so nice to be able to introduce classy works like these at an early age in an easy to use, appealing format.
   Great books
Great books : Haven't yet been given to a child so how she likes them remains to be seen but I think they are wonderful! Lovely way to introduce children to the art. I know that these have been out for many years and I have discovered them just now, but what a great discovery.
i love them, kids not so much
My children have quite caught up with it. They don't really read it or get it. It only sits in our board book basket with 4 other books and they sit with the 3. So, in the garden Dracula sits with babylit. I tried to get them into it using enthusiasm. It is perhaps overshadowed by the touch of the art - count - moneys lillies. I give it 4 stars because the books are beautiful and I love them.
   Beautiful board book for babies
This is a great book for Van Gogh lovers. I like that it is a board book, it's the perfect size for my six-month-old son to hold and grab. Each cover has a different piece of art and a short poem on the opposite page. I like that the colors are true as well as the artwork.
Beautiful and great for young children!
This book is LOVE! Gave it as a gift to a younger student as a gift with a small sketch book and a watercolor palette.
   Wonderful books with beautiful illustrations!
These books are sturdy and are beautifully illustrated with impressionistic paintings. Some have simple phrases or words for a child of a toddler. I love this picture because it shows different scenes from the gardens. At an early age, introducing a child to the masters of painting will give them a lifetime of pleasure and appreciation for art.
