Great Book for Young Learners!

I love my books and this one is no different. I usually don't use books with young students because they tear the pages or throw them across the room, but my book has been through a lot and still holds up. The simplistic nature of these books allows the reader to expand on the language with their own observations to promote language-rich opportunities for the children and I believe these books are indispensable for those caring for or educating young children.

Sticking to board books

I would recommend skipping these and sticking with small board books. My son is 21 months old and I bought these during my third trimester. I like the idea of these because they're easy to clean, but washing them has left them wrinkled beyond repair. At this point, they are not really usable. The board books that I got him around the same time are all still usable and he gets more enjoyment out of them at this stage. It's more economical to buy small board books that can fit in a toddler's hands, rather than buying a novelty gift.

I bought these because I wanted to get my one year old to stop ripping his book pages. He can now look at the images without being distracted by the torn page. I was not expecting much from these books, but the art work is adorable. In the Things That Go book they show both genders for all sorts of drivers, which makes me happy. The baby animals book is my favorite book. The name of the baby animal is given. A rabbits baby is also called a kitten. I didn't. I find these educational and cute.

When I was a nanny, I found these books and knew I had to buy them when I became a mom. We love all of the titles we have. They've held up to the abuse of my babies. The new titles are brighter. It's fun for the baby too. The books are on my baby shower gift list.
