Index, a History of the: A Bookish Adventure from Medieval Manuscripts to the Digital Age is 336 pages long.
Very nerdy, wonderful history of an 'obscure' part of reading that we too often take for granted.

He points out many 'obvious' but often unremarked things about how we read. Enjoyed the fact that I would not have known so many things.

Bought this as a present for my mother, whose least favorite job is creating indexes.

Disappointing (Audible version)

Some interesting bits and anecdotes from the interview. Repetition, to a fault, and padded. It was mostly mechanical problems, but I eventually gave up.

Very informative as well as entertaining

Read this on my kindle which did not do justice to the illustrations _ they are definitely more clear on shiny surface of iPad and probably in the printed book. If you have any problems with learning how to use your brain, skip this book. Most writers these days are insipid so it was a pleasure to read, he said.
