It was a scene right out of a Hollywood slasher movie--a beautiful woman's terrified screams piercing the air, a dead body sprawled at her feet, blood staining the pristine sands of a Washington beach. But the blood is real, and the victim won't be rising when a director yells, Cut! In one horrific instant, a homicide detective's well-earned holiday has become a waking nightmare. Suddenly a lethal brew of passion, madness, and politics threatens to do more than poison J.P. Beaumont's sleep--it's dragging the dedicated Seattle cop into the path of a killer whose dark hunger is rapidly becoming an obsession.
Injustice For All is 368 pages long.

Beau attracts trouble in spades...
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
I really like the series from Jance about a Seattle detective. This series has done a better job of keeping my interest than other procedural series have. I like the way Jance develops her characters. Many women seem to die around him, so I'm starting to feel that he's dangerous for them to be around. After the death of the woman who made Beaumont relatively wealthy and before he met his second wife, these books are written well enough to not feel guilty about reading them. Information for readers of the series to know where they are.

Can't help myself...
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
I concur with K.B. A woman writing from a man's point of view does not always work. In a scene from the book, a man throws himself on the bed which is usually not done by men but by women. This does not deter me. I have become enamored with the characters in the series and can't help but wonder what will happen to them. Not the best mysteries I have ever read, and I am offended by the little plot elements that are sometimes left hanging or are hastily explained away. If you are reading this book on a computer, be aware that there are occasional formatting problems. There were not fatal errors. I can't be certain, but I think there was a whole page missing.

As Great as the First in the Series
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
I started reading Ian Fleming's James Bond books many years ago and was anxious to read the next one. Since then, I have only found an author that holds my attention and interest in the same way. J.A. was suggested by my friend. Jance and I do. Her writing keeps me interested in the story. I am going to read the entire series in chronological order. I will be entertained if the rest are as good as these first two. The details of places in and around the Seattle area are vividly described in the show. The read was great.

Hmmmm

I realized how similar the character is to Lucas Davenport when I read a shorter version of JP Beaumont. The story has a Virgil in it. Beau has a problem with alcohol and he didn't make his own money, which is the only difference I can see. I am curious who published first.

The book and series were very good. There are always some surprises. The characters are becoming family in the series. How they grow in books to come is what I am looking forward to.

The character has aged and his situation has changed over time. Reading them is like eating comfort food. You know what to expect, but you still enjoy it.

It kept you guessing.

You had to change your mind from the first page to the last. I was suspicious of one of the policemen. I thought the guy who was protesting was the killer. A very good read. I will read more by J. P. Beaumont.

J. Jance is a great author and J.P. Beaumont's series is a wonderful treat.

I enjoy reading every book by J. Jance. She makes you feel like the characters are your friends and neighbors. Injustice for All is a mystery and one that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys riding along with the detectives that are solving the crimes. The reader is brought along with the story to the end because of the well thought out plots. The people are down to earth. It's not perfect, but most people are. I plan to read the whole series in a few months.

Broken hearts collide..
Derived From Web , Jan 11, 2018
A well planned mystery. Beau finds trouble when he is not looking for it. There are more questions than answers in the story of the characters. It's hard to put down a chapter. I read this in two days. You can't know who did the murders. The ending was very exciting. The book was rated five stars.
