Internal Family Systems Therapy is 288 pages long.
This is the most important book to own and read for IFS
Derived From Web , Sep 29, 2021
This book is truly a textbook in that it is chock full of important information, but it is written in a way that everyone can understand and it draws you along easily, yet each paragraph is its own concentrated nougat of important information that I dont want to put down. Plenty of examples of that are directly from therapy sessions, but the examples are not tiresome. The book is very well written and thought-out, said Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A book of the authors clinical technique
Derived From Web , Jun 1, 2021
The highest value it offers is probably enough information about the technique to judge if it would fit in with their practice, he said. It is, however, not a work of academic rigor nor is it a detailed training. The results reported in the clinical vignettes would be noteworthy if achieved as described. However, given that there is no timeframe or any other context in which an appeal may be considered, it is difficult to judge. It is surprisingly superficial, and borrows freely from more grounded therapeutic practices, Raymond said.

Comprehensive IFS overview for therapist (less useful for self-help audience)
Derived From Web , Aug 24, 2020
Traditional approaches to family healing typically seek to accommodate the emotional needs of the client rather than dispute them. What makes this book stand out from the crowd is that it lays out the main ideas of IFS in a concise and easy to understand manner. The reason I only gave 4 stars, however, is that this book was really written for the clinician rather than the patient, but the titlecover doesn't make that clear.

Important book when dealing with childhood trauma
Derived From Web , Dec 15, 2019
The books are perfect for therapy sessions to help children process their traumas. This book is a must-have for single men and women who are planning a family. Before having children, however, they should have some form of trauma so they don't suffer the same abuse. We pass on what we learn from our parents.

Groundbreaking theories
Derived From Web , Nov 27, 2019
What a book! The only thing I will ever be able to do is see my problems or my clients' issues the same way again. The more I read, the more I wanted to learn, he said. I am now ready to take my training and practice as an IFS therapist.
