Nothing like teaching an ethics class to test your own professional morals

I taught an ethics class for mental health care providers and reviewed a number of books. This was my final choice, as it was well organized, clear, had relevant examples and provided a framework for ethically, professionally and professional, clinical business and working with clients. I found the examples good launching points to discuss in class and present dilemmas for students to work through. As we are dealing with students, the price of the text was also a factor in assigning this edition. I would recommend this book to any student who is considering going into the field as a means of understanding appropriate professional behaviors.

The book came on time, though this book comes more from a counselor’s perspective or for individuals in this profession, there are important principles that can be applied as a professional in the work field, though it can be challenged when a certain decision must be made, so far in delivering some essential information.

This text is a required reading for my work in a master in mental health counseling. Very well written, many ethical information and lots of thoughts on great issues. If this book does not make you question yourself, I am not sure what else will. I keep this text.
