Not the best of this series
We're big fans of the "Ivy and Bean" series, TV critic Janet Floyd said. My 6 year old daughter really gets a kick out of the stories, although I admit I sometimes have to censor or explain some of what its going on as it's not always setting the perfect example for little ones. It's a great story, but I'm not sure what the hell happened with this book. In "The Big Bad Apple," a young girl writes, "there's a cigarette smoking section." I think this was a concept that was unnecessary in a children's book, Mr. Rule told the judge.

   The Super Sleuths
Bean has super sleuth training while watching a classic detective movie with her mother just in time to solve the case of the mysterious growing rope that is taking over Pancake Court. Will Ivy and find out who's pulling the strings, umm rope or will this unlikely duo discover sometimes it's OK to not know? The second book in the series, "Hidden Figures," reveals how important women were not only to American history but also to science. I highly recommend that you read these books to your daughter. Both are perfect bedtime stories for girls ages 5 and up.

All of the Ivy and Bean books are awesome - unlike anything else out there
All of the Ivy and Bean books are awesome, Mr. D'Antonio said. I read the first book to my 4 year old and she was very excited. If your girl likes bugs, dirt, and creepy things and everything not princess then these books are for her!

My daughter loves this book series.
My daughter absolutely loves the show. Her uncle bought her the first few books and she fell in love immediately, she said. The stories are well written and the characters are fun to read, too. I'm pretty sure the Ivy and Bean series has ended, but I can't wait for the next ting from Annie Barrows.

My Granddaughter absolutely loves the Bean and Ivy books. Before she goes to bed, she reads to her mother. She also voiced the part of Ivy's nemesis, the "Ivy" doll.

   cracked!!
A wonderful adventure, said Harrison. I hope we aren't done with Ivy & Bean, but if we are, it's great to have the future all worked out! It's a blond-haired cutie pie, her Mommy Piper Xo said.

   Highly recommend!
My 6 year old LOVES the books! She has read them all, re-read them and re-read them again! They are relatively easy reads, even with a little challenge, said Dr. Goin.

   Worst of the series
It has a weak ending and a dissatisfying resolution.
