Editing issues but Good 2nd book in the Series
Another great book after Book 1 : Although I gave only 3 stars because it is not as refined as the book. There are some issues scattered all over the book that missed editing that I found when comparing my answers. If you are not careful, you can mess it up. It seems that not enough thought went into finding the errors. Maybe a good thing, cause you have to double check your work. On the other hand, it is more Japanese and gets a great addition. Plus is the answer key right after the chapter, which is cool and helpful. Glad I bought it and can 't wait to finish to get to book 3.

More topics in each lesson would be better, fair enough
It could include more grammar points in each lesson, but is ok, I guess. In each lesson, more topics would be better, fair enough.

   Power Up Your Japanese!
After finishing Book One in the series, I went into the second volume headfirst. After mastering hiragana in the first book, this book will teach you to teach Katakana with the wonderful progressive approach. It begins with Romaji and gradually replaces it with the Katakana you learn in each lesson. Here you will not get overwhelmed! Just like the first book it has lots of culture points, illustrations and great explanations to get the material to sink deeply.

   Don't Stop at Book 1!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this book so far ''. Like Book 1 keeps you interested in learning and implements different writing exercises for you to test your Japanese knowledge. I also think that the practice section is a little longer in this book, which is nice because I need to get all the practice I can get. As others pointed out, I made a few mistakes and I finished Lesson 2 only because I have, but for me, that does not diminish the quality of the material. I have used only these books by George Trombley to learn Japanese as well as to tune into his YouTube videos, and I believe that my understanding of language is the best it can be. When we are doing something fun, we are able to better understand it and remember it, and I am so glad that I chose these books to begin my quest of learning Japanese. I have nothing bad to say about them and neither will you, so do yourself and favor and learn Japanese with George Trombley! I promise that you won 't regret it!

   Loving this series so far!
I'm half way through Book 2 of this series and I love it just as much as the first book. John Geza has a lot of information and is very easy to understand. I also love that there are YouTube videos to go with each lesson. I am very happy that I decided to begin this series ; I am also very happy with how much I learned so far.

   Good, but not enough exercises
I am reviewing the 5th edition I bought when I received the book last year. The difference in style and formatting is jarring coming from the 6th edition of Book 1. There is more and more complex content to learn compared to Book 1, all of which is necessary but also a slog to fully pass. This content, I think, is where many people will burn out, and you had learned the entire vocabulary from Book 1 to Book 2, or you're in for some pain. This is where I took a star for the rating exercise. There aren 't enough, especially for those who learn primarily through exercises. Properly learning the conjugations and tenses provided requires way more than what is presented. There should really be a separate workbook to get these concepts reinforced.

Muy buen libro, gran trabajo y dedicación a sus autores
fácil de leer y estudiar que otros libros tradicionales Libro is an excellent aprender. otros libros tradicionales como el Minna no nihongo posee mucho temas concentrados en un solo capitulo, es bueno a repasar. Pero is libro Japanese from es muy bueno aprender. It is easier to read and study than another tradicional book. Every chapter is focused on a few topics with a lot of exercise, this is something that other books like the Minna no Nihongo don 't have because they try to cover a lot of topics in just one chapter. Minna no Nihongo is a great book for reading, but this book is good for learning.
