Book Overview

This beautifully-illustrated hardback book by well-known singer and TV presenter Randall Goodgame is based on the parable in Luke 12 v 35-38.

It teaches children that Jesus will return, and when he does, there will be an amazing party where. SURPRISE . he will serve his faithful servants

Jesus didn't tell us when that party will be, but we can make sure that we're ready for it by loving him and loving his people while we wait.

   It’s okay
There was one maze in the entire book, which of course my kids fought over. It doesn't have many activities, and they're pretty simple, too. I'm sharing pictures because there weren't any and I didn't know the contents of the box.

   Best books ever!
The Tales that Tell the Truth books are my absolute favorites to read to my daughter. My daughter is three and LOVES these books—she requests at least one of them daily. Each story is beautifully done and each story is made simple enough for small children to gain understanding of deep concepts. We loved this book specifically because of the simple way Jesus is explained and his return is explained, Mary said. The writing is so well done, emphasizing everything that should be and written in a well-flowing, memorable way, Morgenthau said. The repetition that is included in the important parts of the exercise is what makes it work. It sticks in my head and she can recite parts of the book by memory! It's so catchy, and great to read! These are books we keep forever.

Love “tales that tell the truth”
I've read all of these "tales that tell the truth" books. Some are better then others, but I want to own them all for my children. The illustrations are so adorable & the stories are bible truths presented in a tangible way for little people to treasure, Gaiman said. I hope the authors keep making more money.

   LOVE!
This book is by far the best. I will be buying more copies for the grandchildren. It does a great job of presenting the gospel and the joy and adventure that it includes, Crosby said. Great for preschool to early elementary.

Timeless Truth told with a sprinkle of fun!
Our family is familiar with Mr. Goodgame's ministry through Slugs and Bugs so my children were very excited to read a book written by one of their favorite people. We have several books from the Tales That Tell the Truth series, and we are excited to add this lovely parable to the canon, Simon and Schuster said. The truth of this book is astounding. The One Who humbled Himself to come in human form, is the great Master who makes Himself a servant to those who serve him. The essence of the Gospel is captured in this simple parable with fun and whimsical illustrations that captured the attention of even my youngest reader. Truly a wonderful addition to any child's library where the truths of God's amazing love for His people is important as a theme.
