Helping my son succeed in Preschool!
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
I purchased this book together with a few others in this series to help address areas that my son struggles with in pre-school. I am amazed how much he loves them and likes to have them read at bedtime! The tips and suggested interactive ideas in the back of the book have helped keep my 4tear old focused and we are able to relate to his daily experiences accurately each page.

For years we have used these wonderful books to teach or children to be the best people they can be. I love that these teach all the values I value the most. Everything I have been through is a book to teach them and they really enjoy these books. I think they feel like the story gets them and that they aren 't all alone in what they are going through, which is wonderful. We enjoy both learning to get along series and being the best me series.

social skill help
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
I use this to help with special skills with preschoolers with social needs, but would recommend for any pre-school classroom. Some children seem to learn these skills by watching, but for many it helps to teach some basic skills. Understanding how to join in, take turns, follow the rules and get along is not easy for preschoolers. This book helps teach these ideas and is excellent as an introduction to social skills role play.

Gets the dialogue started for adults and kids
Derived From Web , Jul 13, 2019
I like that there are suggestions for how to have a conversation with your child at the end of the book to help them understand the concept of collaborative play and being kind to others. I like that my kid loves this book and helps them understand how other kids have their feelings hurt when we exclude them or are unkind. What is not to like? Besides being able to read it over and over again, I can 't think of anything. That is a lot of saying about a children's book.

My 4 year old daughter really helped me in making friends. When they are in story form, they listen better and understand. Sturdy Book, which is very important when you have a toddler.

Good skills, but felt like an instruction booklet.
Derived From Web , Aug 23, 2018
The illustrations are simple and the advice is worded in a lovely language appropriate for young children. However, young children learn these skills best through stories, even short anecdotes, and unfortunately this book did not include much of it. Still a useful tool, but one that would be most effective paired with other books that show these skills in the context of a narrative.
