   Cute for beginning readers
Barber knew how to capture the funny, innocent, social awkwardness of being young. The nightmare of every parent is Junie B. She is not a child-stealing. She is simply learning to sail in a big world full of unwritten rules about what a young child should say and should not do. I have to admit that I am not fond of Junie's tart little sayings at times. I do not allow my children to use words like stupid, which are liberally thrown around in the book. I made clear to my children that I can read Junie B, but if I hear Junie B-ish words coming from their mouths, Junie B will find herself at the half price bookstore on the corner.

When I was a kid, I used to love these books. The piece was great, got this for my sister, who is in second place for Valentine's Day. The book came in a paper mailed, which is great environmentally, but the book did get beat up, beware.

It was a great little Valentine's gift for her that didn 't involve candy Of course, she is only 5 so that I had to read it to her, but she loved every minute of it.

The cover illustration is a bright glossy Valentine's picture. The pages are clear paper but pictures could be used as a coloring book. History is written as a child, similar to other feedback on grammar and spelling issues. It is the same size as a regular Valentine's card, which was good for a quick gift add with a ribbon. The author has a popular series.

The product is 5 stars. Would recommend to friends bc it is an adorable series. I read it to my 7 - year old first grader. I think that a second school could be able to read it on their own.
