   Great book!
Clear and easy to read, Mr. Rule told the judge. This is a great lesson about traveling with little ones and how to view things. Our son, who is 5, likes the book. Cynthia B. Mosley, who stars in a revival of "The Color Purple," said she was "100 percent behind" the revival.

   Brings me back
He was a big fan of Little Critter, his mom said. I had tons of them and bought them for my grandsons. I love then too, he said. Each one teaches a good lesson for the child in a way that is unique. The illustrations are also terrific. Perfect for little ones.

Awful book-condescending and mom is no fun!
I love Lou and the yeller belly by Mercer Mayer so I was expecting this to be decent, but there is no way it is the same author! What a great day in the city, and mom getting annoyed with everything the little boy does! It's just that nobody ever asked." Don't buy!

   Timeless book from my childhood
I can't recall exactly when I was first told about this book, but my mom reading it to me in the late 80s. It was a whim, said Blair. It's a cute, timeless book that your kids will also be able to read to their future kids. There is one about dads that is great for Father's Day, Tunick said. I think getting a mom or dad book to read with the kid is an awesome mother's or father's day gift.

Won’t Be Reading This With My 4yo
I bought this as a fun mommyson book but I'm glad I flipped through it before reading it with my 4-year-old. He said not having read the book would have changed his mind about the merits of the case. The story is mostly about the boy's innocent mistakes and the mom's annoyance or other people in authority being annoyed at the boy. The end has a weird resolution: "it was a fun day!" when very little about the book seemed like fun for the kid.

   Bought for daughter, didnt like
It was more geared toward a boy and mom. 0 3171127 This story was more geared toward a boy and mom. A few weeks ago, I had a baby. It's not really focused on kids being able to explore and express themselves, but rather being an accessory to their moms life, Tunick said. It's a little outdated, said Dr. Paul LiCalsi, director of the NIH's Ames Research Center in California.

   Nostalgic
The instructions were to give these to babies' mothers who requested books instead of cards. I wanted to get something that I didnt think there would be duplicates of and that I enjoyed as a kid, Tunick said. These were perfect as mom and dad can read them aloud as their baby is growing up, and it's a great book for kids to read as well.

Perfect for 1st graders and meeting AR goals
My daughter started reading these books 13 years ago and now she has a son. Giving these books to her at school helped her reach her reading goal every month. She could take the test on the book and really get points and awards in class which boosted her self esteem, she said. We love the art of the newer critter books a bit more than the older ones, but the stories are perfect. This time around, I plan on getting lots of these books for my son because early reading is so essential!

   Condescending and not cute...
In fact, I find the whole thing offensive, even though the writer is white. What's more, the fact that it was written in such a way reinforces the Mad Max stereotype. He's a total loser, and mom is constantly getting mad at him. It's just that they don't do anything silly or fun like with dad." What a condescending story, said Kim, the mother of 6-year-old twins. We're not going to give it a second thought."
