   ... purchased this book to read to my son I love the Little Critters series
I bought this book to read to my son. I love the Little Critters series, and this is about the Little Critters puppy. These books are easy to read and have great colorful pictures. We have three dogs and we plan on teaching him responsibility for teaching him. This book teaches just that. The Little Critters series talks about how to teach your puppy. The whole series of Little Critters teaches some kind of thing to teach, and for us this is perfect for what we want our son to learn. Teaching a child through a story is the best way to get them to remember the information you want them to keep. After reading it, you can ask them questions relating to the story to see if they were paying attention and also to remind them of what happened. Please also remember that a child has to listen to a story at least 3 times to remember what is read to them due to their short attention span. I purchased this book for my personal enjoyment at the full price. No discount was offered. No discount was offered.

   Very realistic
This is a great book to teach children about responsibility if they want to own a pet and how hard it can be to take care of one, but the rewards are truly great. My son was born with a passion for Little Critter, so when he saw this book he just had to have it. When you take his love for animals and put it with Little Critter, it is just a win - win - situation. Little Critter learned how difficult it can be to teach his new dog or teach him tricks, but loves his adventures with the dog. I think the book is an accurate portrayal of how it will be for any child a new pet, so I recommend it definitely!

   "A Book for Your New Puppy!"
Here we have another Mercer Meyer book just for the young child. The vocabulary is obvious, but the messages about responsibility are very simple. The little child shows responsibility for the new puppy, walking it, feeding it, and most importantly, loving it. Children will understand the concepts of being responsible for their pets, as the author brings familiar life situations into the story. Any child with a new puppy will want to take a lesson from this little critter book. It is amusing when the child, walking the puppy, becomes entangled in the leash. Who is walking who then? Younger sibs will want to help the responsibility with responsibility. A child, however, should be the appointed caretaker of the puppy. Puppy? Happy walking, Puppy?

   Another Little Critter Winner!
This story is told from the boy's point-of-view, but the illustrations are another story! The boy says : I teach my puppy how to break and we see the boy wrapped in the leash... the puppy straining to heel free and play. The boy says... he already knows how to fetch and we see him throwing a stick. On the following page, an angry lady is chasing the puppy... who runs away from her with a lady's hat in his mouth! The story ends on a sweet note. I really love how the Little Critter books focus on events that are real to children and focus so much on the family in such a positive, light way. And my children love this book.

   Little Critter is always a great read!
My daughter loves the Little Critter books. This one is very cute, Little Critter gets a new puppy and tells us all about his new friend and duties. The pictures are adorable as always, and my daughter can really relate to this story, as she has a dog, and also some of the same responsibilities and bonding.

My grandson loves these books. My grandson also loves reading these books. He has us read them over and over again. Would recommend these books to anyone with small children. Very colorful and on a level young ones can understand.

   Very Cute
I thought this book was very cute ''. My daughter, who is 3, loves it. She wanted to read it for the first time every night. I would recommend this book highly to anyone with small children. It reflects all the responsibilities that come with having a puppy in a very amusing way.

   Love the book hate the delivery
I gave the book 5 stars because I love these little Critter books. I have raised my two daughters on them. Theirs are now 34 and 30. I saw them on here and decided to get this one. My granddaughter is 312 and has a baby brother whose 6 months old is 6 months old. She loves books and loves to read books to him. I purchased two Valentine's Day books for each of them. But the books never reached them. This book was mailed to me well. 3 times I had to cancel and reorder, I had to reorder. And, Low, and behold today what's in my mailbox?? The two books for my granddaughter are : I'm furious because this isn 't the first time that this has happened. There goes my free shipping so. I now have to find the post office and walk to it because I don 't have a car.
