   Second Grade Standout
In her second book, Ford moves to Washington, where she lives with her middle-school-age brother and mother. She lives in Maryland, and her father lives there. The sixth-grade girls are preparing for a major field trip to Washington. Not only did she have a big mishap with her hair before the trip, it was the first of many. She doesn't want to be the line leader for her class, she always wants to be the last in line, the caboose. But she is usually outsmarted by Tiffany and getting to be the caboose becomes a real issue for Keena. This issue for Keena spills over _ literally _ to Representative Thomas (D-Calhoun), the house representative for her district. The book is also being called "The Whole Nine Yards." As a candidate for the student council, Keena's poster read, "You'll never be bored with Keena Ford." Neither will readers nor AOL.

   Thank You For This Character
The book was finished in one sitting by my 9 year old. She was so loud at one point I thought she was watching television, Mrs. Rule told the judge. This book allowed my daughter to see herself in a character and enjoy the read, too.

I bought her the kindle and she read them all. She also praised Ford's books. They are fun to read and keep my daughter wanting more, they are.

Enjoyment for both daughter and mom
I think that I love these books just as much as my daughter. This is a great series, said Gillian Alexander, executive vice president of CBS Television. It's a parody, one writer said. It's a great story, full of emotions, ideas and problems of a 2nd grader. It has provided my daughter and I with lots of opportunities to talk about bullying because one of the main characters is a bully, Mrs. Dhaliwal said. I hope the author continues to do great work.

Love Ms. Keena and the humor and lessons
Ms. Keena's classroom is full of students who love the teacher and the lessons. There are just one book left in the series. Melissa Thomson, creator of the game, wants more.

Made my daughter fall in love with reading
She was given a Ford book by her mother when she was about 4 years old. It took us a long time to pick it up because she was so small. We're huge fans of Elizabeth Taylor and we ordered the other books and she even dressed up like Keena Ford for read across America week! It's also very relatable to people who live in the nation's capital.

   Late second grade reading level
I think it's great for 2nd grade reading. Not to be outdone, the second grader will be entering his third year. It's just that much school yovid.
