Starts really basic for a solid foundation
Derived From Web , May 6, 2022
I really like this book, said Barbara Comstock, co-chair of the English department at the University of Michigan. I used it for one of my Summer tutoring clients who needed to go at slower pace and, needed a stronger decimal fraction and foundation to build on for the next year. It begins slowly, gradually builds and becomes more complex as the user interface becomes more complicated. This book is not for children who are on the average or above average curve as they will grow bored and will grow bored again and again. I recommend this book as a supplement for a child struggling in this area at a one-to-one pace then move on to Kumon Grade 5 Decimals & Fractions after completing.

Tutoring
Derived From Web , May 6, 2022
This is just what I needed for tutoring, Mr. Goin said. I'm hoping it had more lessons to it, too. Showing examples of how Microsoft's products can be used. Before they can do it, they need to be shown what to do before doing it.

Same exercise with no progress
Derived From Web , Mar 11, 2021
It's just that it was doing the same thing for the whole book. A lot of exercise is fine, but I expect some progression with difficulty. But this book started with simple, ended with simple. Don't waste your money on this book.

Great book for practicing fractions and decimals
Derived From Web , Aug 14, 2020
I bought this for my son to practice fractions and decimals during the summer before he heads to school. The tutor made all the necessary corrections and was very easy to complete, Mr Hughes said. Overall, I expected it to be a little bit more challenging, but overall I liked the book. The key is in the back, which makes it easy and quick to check the work, the product description says.

Great Guidance
Derived From Web , Jul 9, 2020
Every summer I buy workbooks for my two boys. This year I chose Kumon, I purchase the whole collection of 4 for my son going into 4th grade and the whole collection of 3 for my son going into 2nd grade. Then I found that my younger son had difficulties in some areas in Grade 3 so I bought Grade 2, which has been a great guidance for my kids and I. The books helped my kids learn step by step and I really do see improvements. Its great for me, I simply use the answer sheet to correct and it helps me find out what their weaknesses are, Mr. Caramore said. Overall I really like Kumon workbooks compared to previous companies that I have purchased because I see improvements. Next year I will again purchase Kumon.

Not exactly what I expected
Derived From Web , Aug 22, 2019
I'm looking for some help with fractions. This was more of a practice for fractions. Not beginner friendly.

Great for Homeschool
Derived From Web , Mar 10, 2019
I homeschool and use these books as a main curriculum and then add DVDs and fun projects. I also print free worksheets off the internet to go with the lesson. They say it's just that they love music. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

Decent for beginners
Derived From Web , Dec 11, 2017
This book is good for kids who never worked with decimals or fractions. I had to skip over way too many lessons to challenge him even remotely. Now I am on the hunt for another fraction because the section he really needed help with wasn't enough.

We Love Kumon Math Books and have purchased many of them
Derived From Web , Mar 13, 2017
We Love Kumon Math Books and have purchased many of them. It's the first disappointment. Our son is in the middle of third grade so we still have a lot to do with fractions. To our surprise fractions examples in this book have a similar denominator''. This means that instead of 4 grade problems you have simply a 1st grade math problem such as 1+3, or 5-1, or even some variation thereof. If this would be the book for 2nd graders to introduce them to fractions I would understand, but for the 4th grader this book doesn't present any challenge.
