Landscape Graphics Plan, Section, and Perspective Drawing of Landscape Spaces

Many of the drawings can be photocopied and pasted on your own drawings, and the author encourages you to do so if you are sketch-ability-deficient. Very good value for money.

Good reference for casual sketches
Derived From Web , May 26, 2022
I am a student of landscape architecture and this book has been useful for making detailed sketches but lacks informal drawings. There are not many examples of plants in the plan view, but it is a good reference for plants in the section.

This book needs to be developed as all examples are very basic and boring. I am a professional landscape architect and have 10 years of experience.

Great landscape reference
Derived From Web , May 26, 2022
I've done some course work that requires doing landscape designs. This book has been very useful in developing a starting point for developing my own style of landscape graphics to use in my design work. The steps are clear enough to allow you to recreate similar style graphics, but not broken to each line that saves space. I have not had an opportunity to compare this to the more recent issue, but based on the graphics I see in design samples offered by instructors, not much has changed other than you might be using a digital medium instead of a drafting board.

Lifesaver
Derived From Web , May 26, 2022
I moved my major as a junior to LA. I was very behind and put on a fast track to graduate in the five years I had. Everyone else in my studio had taken graphic classes that explained how to draw trees and textures and so on, and this book helped me keep it up. Has plenty of examples of trees in plan, trees in section, paths, textures, covers, water, people, ideas, so on!

Required textbook
Derived From Web , May 26, 2022
As expected, exactly. The book contains examples and how-to's for hand rendering landscape graphics, and was extremely helpful in my drafting class for landscape architecture. I usually try to sell my textbooks once a course is finished, but I plan to keep this just because it was so beautifully organized, easy to use and an extremely helpful reference.

Terrific book for learning graphics and as a reference
Derived From Web , May 26, 2022
I bought this book as required at my Landscape Architecture class at Ohio State University and 5 years out of college and I see this book when I need help with my graphics or a new technique. In addition to pages of graphic samples of people, ground covers, trees, shrubs, plan views, sections, lettering and vehicles. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who creates or sketches graphics in the architectural field of architecturallandscape.
