   Timely and well written
For those toddlers who have started to hit when this thwarted, it's a simple, well-written book. It's a great book, and I bought it for my grandson because his parents read it to him in English and his nanny reads it to him in Spanish. It's also a good springboard to learning, because it brings people together who might not otherwise meet. Hands are not for hitting, but what are hands for? Hands are for eating, thumbs are for holding, and fingers are for grasping.

   Good book for toddlers
I usually read the whole book in English, then when she says again, I have to go back and reread it. we can go through the whole thing again in Spanish - makes the experience less repetitive for me, and she gets to be exposed to a few new Spanish words."

   Great for explaining proper behavior.
My son absolutely loves this book and many of the other books in the series. We use the story to talk about what is happening and draw parallels to real issues we are having today, he said. Even though Dean is a Democrat, he can relate.

My daughter didn't like the illustrations at all
The book has very little words and the illustrations are so small they barely hold her attention.

Stopped my toddler from hitting herself during tantrums almost instantly!
Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!! It was almost bedtime and my toddler was starting to throw tantrums. The book was a lifesaver, Diana said. She stopped almost immediately after we read it a few times. Now she says “no hitting!” when she gets upset. It's still one of her favorite books. The Spanish-English translation is very well done. This product is highly recommended by those who are struggling with hitting.

Great book, we own two copies ;)
He's a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, and I think this book is going to sell well. Great way to have a productive convo, he said.

   A must have toddler book.
Hands are not for hitting, it's must book for any toddler to help them understand why not to hit. We read this book almost daily, along with other children's books, especially now that my toddler has a baby brother. It has had a very positive timpact on my older son. I love that it helps strengthen our vocabulary and helps make sure he knows the concepts in both languages.

Daniel tiger is another good resource for this
My son loves reading this book and it has suggestions for parents in the back how to properly handle hitting. He no longer has a problem hitting people, umpire Jim Joyce said.

Very disappointing. No exploration of alternatives or motives.
It's disappointing, said Gillian Kent, director of music for AOL Europe. No one is saying that pitching hands are not hitting. For crying women, hugging is the only thing they want. Teeth are not for biting, but my son absolutely loves the book. He added: "Don't hit, don't give some things hand do." And what about when you're sad? Mad Men, for example, is a parody of itself. What do you do with a 4-year-old? Not surprisingly, the report was highly disappointing. Home > FAQs, Part 1 > When will we get to Mars?
