Patric Richardson, aka the Laundry Evangelist, reveals his revolutionary methods for cleaning clothes--and making laundry loads more fun.
Doing laundry is rarely anyone's favorite task. But to Patric Richardson, laundry isn't just fun--it's a way of life. After years of running Laundry Camp at the Mall of America for thousands of eager learners, he's ready to share his tips, tricks, and hacks--bringing surprise and delight to this commonly dreaded chore.
Sorting your laundry? It's not all about whites and darks. Pondering the wash cycles? Every load, even your delicates, should be washed using express or quick-wash on warm. Facing expensive dry cleaning bills? You'll learn how to wash everything--yes everything--at home. And those basically clean but smelly clothes? Richardson has a secret for freshening those too (hint: it involves vodka, not soap).
Changing your relationship with laundry can also change your life. Richardson's handy advice shows us how to save time and money (and the planet ) with our laundry--and he intersperses it all with a healthy dose of humor, real-life laundry stories, and lessons from his Appalachian upbringing and career in fashion.
Laundry Love will make you wonder why you ever stressed about ironing, dry cleaning, or (god forbid) red wine spills on your new couch. No matter the issue, Richardson is here to help you make laundry miracles happen--wrinkles and stains be damned.

I am a believer!! I'm a believer! This book was entertaining and inspiring. After you get the hang of it, his methods really do work. My mind is blown away, who knew that I should wash everything on the quick cycle, my mind is blown. I now refer to Patric several times a week as my lauded guru ( i.e.

Not indexed at all
Derived From Web , May 16, 2021
I bought this book hoping to find tips and tricks for my laundry problems. The book reads like a novel and not a self help book. There is no index for specific issues and no helpful solutions. You need to read the whole book hoping to find solutions to your laundry problems. I did not find this book helpful for my laundry questions.

The best book you never knew you needed!!
Derived From Web , Apr 17, 2021
I used to think that laundry was my favorite chore, but after reading this book I will never call it a chore again! If you love your clothes or even if you like them just like them, this book is a must read!!! If you have ever gotten rid of a favorite because of a dreaded stain, this book is for you!!! After reading it, I bought a copy for myself and decided that my mother needed one, as well as all three of my adult children. I'll probably buy more for my friends as gifts, but I'll probably buy more. Perfect for house warming or baby shower gift!!! The Laundry will NEVER be the same! The author has a show on TV as well as being EXTREMELY knowledgeable by the way. This book holds more than laundry secrets in it. Enjoy! ! !

Great book..practical and fun
Derived From Web , Apr 12, 2021
I saw his show on Discovery Plus and got the book. It is great to be able to do so. We are empty nesters so do not have a lot of laundry problems though. I am slowly butting. I start slowly. Bought plant based detergent and goes to the short cycle. Stain removal explanations for all perfect situations of stain removal. His explanations of the environmental issues with detergent he had never thought of. He says we can wash even a suit jacket in the machine. I am a chicken, so I will get one at the thrift store and try to wash it! What a beautiful book! He is such a nice, gracious person. A fun and interesting book! Practical and interesting ''.

An interesting read, and I plan to try the suggestions about alternate ways to clean clothing.
Derived From Web , Apr 8, 2021
My only complaint is that I wish a list of items contained for purchase were recommended in an appendix at the back of the book. Instead, the appendices contain family recipes. Since there is no such appendix, the author could perhaps create a website to go with the book. On this site he may have a list of recommended products for purchase, linked to vendors that sell these products.

Too chatty and not enough hard tips
Derived From Web , Apr 6, 2021
After seeing the solitary airing of The Laundry Guy on HGTV, I bought this. I thought he was helpful and amusing ''. The book is primarily amusing without enough hard facts. I'm built a lot like Patric and occasionally gets stains on the Polo shirt. I can 't find where it tells how to remove grease stains from a polk shirt the best. At the back of the book, Patric should have had a laundry list '' of stain removal techniques!
