Book Overview

PowerShell is both a scripting language and an administrative shell that lets users control and manage nearly every aspect of Windows, from Azure to SharePoint. It's also a great platform for building reusable tools and utilities that make everyday administration faster and easier.

Inside, readers discover how scripting is different from command-line PowerShell, as they explore concrete hands-on examples. This book includes and expands on many of the techniques presented in Learn PowerShell Toolmaking in a Month of Lunches.

Purchase of the print book includes a free eBook in PDF, Kindle, and ePub formats from Manning Publications.

   Simply amazing
I ordered this book a year ago. A replacement copy was recently ordered. The book helped me overcome some challenges I was facing at work, and it was my biggest help. This book is a must read.

   As to be expected
Manning technical books are top quality. They know how to teach. I learned how to do things correctly. You can come up with solutions to problems. The advanced concepts are delivered in a way that builds skills fast. Another opportunity to read. This book and PowerShell in depth v2 are recommended by me!

Take yourself to the next level and have fun doing it
I'm on chapter 3 and I'm amazed at how ISE and AutoLab are being phased out. I read Powershell in a month of lunch. I felt good after those two books. I automate as much as possible. The book will take me to the next level. It's a v2 of Powershell toolmaking in a month of lunches. It's new and improved. Git and VS are bringing in a lot of practices. I did not know about this. It's something that you can't be doing randomly, and seeing it pop up. I love these books because of that. Don and Jeffrey, thank you for the amazing content.
