Quality Resource for Early Learners

I highly recommend this activity book by Hannah Braun, Learn to read! My son has learned so much and enjoys thoroughly the lessons. We finished the lesson 59 this morning, so we’re more than halfway through the book! I truly love how open-and-go the lessons are, as well as the progression of concepts and consistent review. There are additional resources listed in the back of the book that I look forward to exploring as well! Ms Braun thanked Ms Braun for a quality resource for early learners.

I am a certified teacher with 15 years of experience and I love teaching this book with my 4 year old. The method is fun to teach and easy to play for the kid. Every letter is introduced in several ways and is practiced with a motion. Wonderful! We started this and he was struggling to pick out beginning sounds or blend words, so I thought he's a bit young and we 'll just keep going and get what we can out of it... but 10 pages in he started getting it and is now blending sounds and picking them out of words. I particularly like how they teach word families, which makes so much sense. This is NOT going to replace a leveled reading curriculum, but it is a great beginning in phonics and could be paired with sight word practice and full readers. In my opinion it is perfect alone for 4-5 year old preschool, in my opinion. My sister uses it with her three year old. We are all having fun together.

This is my 4th child to learn to read. I did it all myself. This horrible book...100 Easy Lessons, Phonics hooked on Phonics, etc. And this book '' is by far the best tool I ever used. I've had our book spiral bound at the office store. I recommend doing this ''. This book will not make you regret your choice to use it!

Perfect for my Kindergartner

We started half way through the book on Sight Words and this was perfect for my five-year-old kindergartenr who is just learning to read to read. He loved the activities. He loved the people. Every day after school M-Th, we would do works in conjunction with his Montessori learnings and would do 2-4 new sight words activities each day. Then we would practice all learned words forwards and then backwards. It took us about 3 months to get through the book, and his reading has really taken off. Together with this book we had so much fun! I bought other books at the same time and have since thrown most of them out or just hand picked a few pages to review. This one has really done the job that I wanted it to. I'm now looking for a sequel.
