Book Overview

Do you ever wonder if the Gospel is truly good news for your actual, everyday, often difficult, sometimes painful, and typically crazy real life? Well, it is. But sometimes we all need a reminder that God's faithfulness really does follow us into the face of all that harried, hard, and even humorous stuff of life.

In her new devotional LIFE, Lisa Harper gives you exactly that: a gut-level exploration of pertinent and redemptive moments in Scripture that prove God's grace is more than sufficient for both the massive and the minuscule things of life.

Whether we deal with personal loss, ongoing trauma, global crisis, or simply a super bad hair day, the Gospel is more than enough to handle everything, so dive into LIFE and find some tangible hope for yours

Perfect Balance of Biblically Inspired Humor!
I received this devotional after ordering it for myself and, after reading the first couple of days' writings, I immediately ordered three more books for some girlfriends, who I'm not ashamed to admit are in need of some "happy." She is very relatable to the woman who is searching for the Lord and those who just want to enhance their already rich Christian relationships with Jesus. There are thought-provoking questions at the end of each day's short musings, which keep the subjects in your mind throughout the day. And, who doesn't need some extra laughter in their lives, especially illustrating what a great sense of humor God has created?

   Not a real devotional book
These book definitely is deceiving with it catchy cover color and verbiage, but I wouldn't consider it a "devotional" read, Hachette said. Each day, the author just writes a story about her personal life and then wraps it up with a few questions. Definitely not the type of devotional I thought I'd be getting, so a bit appointment.

Best Devotional I have ever purchased bar none!!
Lisa Harper has a very good book out there. It's a devotional bible study, not a business. Lisa Harper has all but written the book on Biblical reference and humor. This one is high above all the others, Tunick said. I'm a 10th of the way through and looking forward to each new day! A new book about the Beatles, "Reunion" by Simon & Schuster.

Never Returned a Book so Quickly
Right when I ready, which states 'blessed' just means 'happy, I knew I was going to be returning this book. And I have no idea how sharing a story on day 2 about falling over your friend peeing from laughing has anything to do with the joy we have through a relationship through Christ. I've never seen anything like it, Raymond said.

   Insightful!
This book is a great introduction to the Christian faith. I'm 40 days in and I love the short stories, the questions at the end of the days and the hardcover quality, he said. Only a few of the questions are so difficult to answer that it's hard to imagine what would happen if we did get into a serious argument.

100 days devotional from Lisa Harper
Feeling so happy and content, I couldn't help but think of all the wonderful things Lisa wrote. What a great deal!!!!!!!!! Like many of her friends and family, I am drawn to her generosity of spirit. And she is so passionate about knowing Christ more and living His word out. Thanks for the offer.

A LIFE WITH JESUS IS THE BEST LIFE..COME AS THE PERFECTLY IMPERFECT PERSON HE CREATED IN YOU!
The book is so hilarious, authentic, raw, real and filled with so much truth and power. We have been called to bring hope and love to a lost and broken world, and we all have special gifts and talents, he said. I want to live my free life like lisa and sweet Missy, Tamayo said. You will not be disappointed, you will not be ready to laugh til you pee your pants and cry til it hurts. Thanks for this amazing devotional!

   Lisa Harper an amazing woman
Lisa Harper is a breath of fresh air in a world that seems to be in a state of disrepair. She doesn't tell you how you have to act if you are a Christian. This woman is truly amazing, I love the pictures. Funny videos of hers are also available on YouTube.

   Living through Life
In Living Her Life, Living her life to the fullest, she reflects on all the challenges and triumphs she has faced, and how she has handled them with grace and love. I am delighted Ms. Kennedy has chosen to tell her story. It's just that you can't help but laugh. The challenge is to put the book down each day and not to read it again.
