Book Overview

Light Is the New Black is a guidebook for a new breed of women who are here to be bright lights in the world - modern-day lightworkers, who agreed to be here at this time in history. In order to thrive in this new age, everything we do must be an authentic expression of who we truly are. Light Is the New Black will guide you back home to the callings of your soul, so you can light up the world with your presence.

Rebecca Campbell had her first awakening when she was a teenager, but without anyone to guide her, she ignored her soul's callings and dimmed her light in order to fit in. Then, just before her 30th birthday, the life she had so consciously created began to crumble around her. It was as if the Universe turned off all the lights, so she had no choice but to rediscover her own. In this book, Rebecca shares her own journey, alongside practical tools to help you reconnect with the core of your being, and channeled messages from the Universe. Once you rediscover what you already know at soul level, you can offer the world something that only you can give.

Great for light workers or those trying to find their "purpose"
The book is a great read, and I recommend it to anyone. I'm really helping me stay connected to source universe and bring my gifts forth as a light worker. Very highly recommend for anyone who wants to be more connected to the universe, wants to know their purpose and wants to bring their gifts into the world.

   she’s amazing
Thanks for all the love and support. Roberta's lawyer, Reid Weingarten, said she was not present at the time.

So it’s not a university text book.
Television images could not be loaded. Based on the low reviews I've read, I should preface this with the blanket statement that this is not a metaphysical history text book. However, it is an amazingly simple read with some great exercises to get you back in touch with your light or grow from where you are working now.

   Don’t waste your time
I have read of plenty of actually good spiritual and self-improvement books, to the point that I can't help but wonder why nobody has done it before. I'm sure the story Rebecca Campbell has to tell about her life and spiritual awakening are important and valuable to her, but it's dull and unimpactful for the reader. It reeks of overprivilege, Hinds said. It's also one of the most poorly edited books I've read.

   Loved this book!
Simply put, this book is about motivation to bring light to the soul. It's great to see people light up the world.

   inspiring book
The book is loaded with new age concepts and it's a feel good and girl power book. The book basically fleshes out her experience of wanting to have a career related to spirituality but could not due to multiple reasons. She later is able to take charge of her life and career and eventually become fulfilled of what she does. A few questions are scattered throughout the book to get readers thinking of what drives them in life and what they find inspiring.

   Life Changing
This book is truly exceptional. It's probably the most honest thing I've ever read, because my very thoughts and feelings were elegantly put so in to words for me, I thought for certain the author must know my story. It's great to be back home, read the book. You will not regret it.

Like the author, not a fan of this book ;-(
I love everything I see about this woman on her videos, audios, and even her book, but I'm finding this particular book drags and if the same phrase is going to be used over and over, then maybe make it a motto. Like everything she writes, I enjoy the content. Yes, I have trouble staying with this book. What bothers me most about it is that I can't even articulate what bothers me about it, I just found my attention dwindling as I was reading it. If you're not connecting with this book, I'm just not connecting with you, and maybe it's just me.

I just cannot get over it. There is no substance to this book, Michael Jordan said on NBC's "Meet the Press." There are a ton of empty space and big print, typographical errors, and other things that I just can't stomach as a reader. This proverbial double whammy of lack of substance and a lack of a decent editor just has me feeling awful, like if Rebecca Campbell did have a heartfelt message to send to the world, it would have been so good. It's just that ridiculous."
