   another great one
I love Meiners'books. They are very useful for teaching and enhancing various social and behavioral skills. I use them with my students as a special education teacher and with my own little ones as a mother.

We use these books as social stories
We are currently using this book series as social stories for a child on the autism spectrum. These books have helped him understand what is expected in the classroom setting. We routinely read these books to help him maintain appropriate behavior.

Good for classroom rules, not at home rules...
I got this book based on the reprints, but I'm disappointed... It is a great book that parents or teachers can use to prepare children for classroom expectations. There are only two pages about listening at home. At home, I talk about it and listen with my family. We show that we are talking and listening.

He wanted to read this every night for like two weeks and boy did it make a difference
My son is 3 12 and had a hard time at the school and at home. I found this book on Amazon and recommend it to my friends. He wanted to read it for two weeks and boy did it make a difference! He started getting great reviews from his teachers and we noticed a difference. By far, they are his favorite books and mine.

   Good for Aspergers
This is for my child Aspergers who used it. He was completely drawn by the facial expressions in the book. Had to adapt the story line a bit to fit his particular situation, but easy to do with the illustrations. Very pleased with this as we have to be very literal with Aspergers children, everything is so literal and this helps them understand the consequences of their actions.

Perfect for the child who doesn’t like to listen in school
Our child started this year of school and struggled with hearing in the class. This book helped him understand why he has to stop talking and playing and to listen to his teachers.

   Little ones
These books are great to help many life situations for little ones. We can talk about the pictures and it has simple easy text that he can follow. I've also seen him putting these into life. My son goes into k with some special needs and I believe that these really helped prepare him.

   Great Book!
Social group for the great skills. I used it with my 2nd graders and 3rd graders, but I also plan to use it next year for my kindergarten group.
