From celebrated design expert and interior designer Athena Calderone, a look into how creatives decorate their spaces
Beautiful design isn't just pleasant to look at; it improves the quality of our lives. In Live Beautiful, the highly anticipated design book by Athena Calderone, the EyeSwoon creator taps into her international network of interior decorators, fashion designers, and tastemakers to reveal how carefully crafted interiors come together. She also opens the doors to two of her own residences.
With each homeowner, Calderone explores the initial spark of inspiration that incited their design journey. She then breaks down the details of the rooms--like layered textures and patterns, collected pieces, and customized vignettes--and offers helpful tips on how to bring these elevated elements into your own space. Filled with gorgeous photography by Nicole Franzen, Live Beautiful is both a showpiece of exquisite design and a guide to creating a home that's thoughtfully put together.

Trash. Yes, I actually just threw it in the trash. I don’t want it in my home.

I was disappointed that I bought the book. More angry that it wasn't described in a more accurate way. It's disgusting in many ways. Flaunting alternative lifestyles. The title suggests there is nothing beautiful about it. Please do not waste your money.

Not worth it

The book had some damage. The tiltes seemed to have been cut off. I paid $36 and it was not worth it. Taking it back.

Beautifully styled and photographed
Derived From Web , Mar 6, 2020
The book is worth more than $30 dollars. It is nice to have these homes in one publication, they have been featured in other publications and liked on social media. It would be difficult to present something that hasn't made it to social media. The book will appeal to people with specific design tastes. There are some recurring pieces, but there is more than one style to keep it interesting. The fact sheet gives a brief background on the home and the homeowners favorite resources.

Majority of book is focused on other designers, not Athena Calderone
Derived From Web , Mar 5, 2020
Disappointed that the majority of the pages are for other designers. I wouldn't have bought the book if I had known that. The marketing of the book should have made that clear.

Lacks diversity! Where are the author’s friends and colleagues of color?
Derived From Web , Mar 4, 2020
The book has beautiful homes and designs. I was very disappointed to find a lack of diversity. Maybe the author's friends and colleagues of color didn't want to be featured in her book. I think I would have liked this book more if there were people of all skin colors in the book.
