   Great Book!
I wish I would have had it when I was still teaching, Ms. Kennedy said. The book is written in rhyme, and the story is perfect for motivating young listeners to read themselves. I bought this along with a set of readers Little Readers for my cousin who is in Kindergarten. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

   Great for beginning readers
This book is great for students to read as a read-aloud. When called to the classroom, my kindergarteners loved chiming in when called with their abc's and the reading of simple words presented throughout. One part of the book tells readers to not be upset if it's too hard at first and to try to sound it out.

   A keeper!
Good luck with that, Mr. Quinn. It also incorporates the "alphabet" song and the "twinkle twinkle" song that my 2,5 year old daughter LOVES singing along to when she sees Llama Llama at their school. We keep rereading it weekly, we never tire of it.

   Introduction to literacy for preschoolers
Not my 2 year old son's favorite but it's a great book with lots of opportunities to learn about letters and numbers, he said.

Not quite the same cadence as the other Llama Llama books
He also said that the family has a "lot of llamas." One of the great parts of the book is the great cadence. Yes, it was written after the author's death. The second part of the story differs from the first because it doesn't read that way. This book also seems to lack the drama element of the other books. What this book does well is break down exactly what goes together to make reading possible, he said. Llama Llama Loves to Read Mama is still part of the regular book rotation at our house, but it's not this Llama's favorite of the series.

   Encourages reading in youngsters
I'm a huge fan of Nancy Speight's books, and I love that my granddaughter picks up a book and reads it with me. She's working to memorize her numbers and letters so she can get to kindergarten. Such a smart girl and what a great book to help with that, said Dr. Julie Mason.

Cute enough but a bit boring and lacking in Anna’s charm
It's just that the pictures are so adorable, but not as enjoyable as Anna's work. It's a Llama Llama book about reading, but it just seemed too wordy. I actually recounted the entire thing because it seemed so long and draggy, Morgenthau said. Anna's stories always had more story and content, where this one seems to be lacking in spades. We are therefore glad that her sweet characters are being continued even after she is gone, we added.

We're huge fans of the Llama series, and we love the Coens, too. This book was good, we could tell that it had been co-authored by Frey and Williams. We miss you, Anna.

I like the book _ but not as big of a fan of it compared to red pajama, bully goat and "nelly gnu and daddy too." My kids, I kid you not, gravitate to this book for days at a time. It is part of their normal rotation of books.

   Another Great Llama Llama Book!
Thanks for the donation, Llama! librarian Janet Grubb said. Whether you're familiar with Llama or new to the book, this is such a great read. Perfect for anyone who wants to encourage and motivate their littles to read. Whether just introducing the concept of reading, letter recognition, phonics, sight words, or more, this book does a great job covering it all. It progresses from how letters have different sounds, and the letters form to make words, the words come together to form sentences and can tell stories in a book. It covers not getting frustrated while learning to read and to be proud of learning to read.
