I DON'T FEEL LIKE A MEAN MOMMY ANYMORE!!!
So I find it when my child does something they're not suppose to do and I feel like the bad guy after all, Mrs. Rule told the judge. This book really teaches you practical things to do when your kid acts up. They teach you to do it in a way that the consequence is the teacherbad guy and not mommy, Raymond said. They really encourage the use of love and empathy while delivering practical consequences for actions, he said. It also teaches children to think on their own, develop self-esteem and prepare them for real life. It was great to have friends who also loved it. The Harrisons are amazed at how much easier life is after using these techniques. My friend told me that when she started implementing this advice her daughter started saying to her, "You really are being such a nice mommy lately."

Great book....really helped me with my difficult child
A great book. At my wits end with my 3-year-old who pushed me to my limits, I turned to my husband. The only thing I would say is that the word would not send her to the floor. Everything was a battle, was embarrassing in public with her, and she finally called my pediatrician asking for a referral to a behaviorist. She did not recommend this book. It worked like a charm, Tunick said. Giving my 3 year old the sense of control made all the difference. Other good lessons for moms: Don't let your guard down.

Great for parents with young kids
I've read the entire thing, and I think the Harrisons are probably correct. Since I have a 5 year old strong-willed child, I borrowed this one from the library to see how it would work with younger children. Magic continued to play with the injury, causing problems with the younger child. Wish I had found out about this book since its terrible two stage, it would have helped a lot. I've read several books about diciplining. The book contains the same 'Love and Logic' rule as the first book I mentioned, but more specific samples on todler years. It also mentioned that the youngster was "doing well" and that "the doctors were very happy with what they were seeing." Even if the child is not complaining, I highly recommend the series to every parent. You can find ways to enhance your self-concept.

   thought this pretty good
I thought this helpful book was especially in the area of having empathy with my children so as to avoid them going into defensive mode, he said. The only thing I would say negatively is many of the examples of how to deal with situations in public that you have 4 kids under the age of 5,' said Dr. Goin. What I can't imagine is stopping in the store and acting out this whole logic and option scenario when three other kids go crazy, Mr. Cowger said.

   Great approach
I love the Love and Logic approach to music. Each parent is obviously different, but I personally love how the authors recommend "Love, Empathy, Less words, More actions and consequences."

   Love and Logic
The reason I bought this was because I was looking for some new techniques for my 4 year old after the birth of my new baby. The techniques in this book really work, Sosa said. My 4 year old and I both have a much lower level of frustration at the end of the day since I've tried Love and Logic. In "The Power of Ten," Bill O'Neill shows how to use the technique in a fast book to read and follow.

   Practical
I am still reading this book but so far I am wholeheartedly agreeing with and being challenged greatly by the author. The boys are doing well, said Dr. Chester Floyd, director of the NIH's Clinical and Translation Services Division. They give A LOT of examples of how to give your children choices, but to go around all day giving your children choices about EVERYTHING sounds utterly exhausting and annoying. At this point I am still instructing my children specifically and expecting obedience, but incorporating more things where they can choose the outcome I love how they encourage you to give your children the freedom to problem solve and reap reality consequences for their decisions, she said. This book is about how to lovingly train your children to be healthy functioning adults. The customer service was great, and the product was well worth the money.

   Wisdom!!!
Love is a game changer! Helped me as a parent create a well-behaved, caring, stable kid. I'm a teacher and use it with my students. I highly recommend Dr. Goin's book.
