After a decade apart, childhood sweethearts reconnect by chance in New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren's touching, romantic novel Love and Other Words.how many words will it take for them to figure out where it all went wrong?
The story of the heart can never be unwritten. Macy Sorensen is settling into an ambitious if emotionally tepid routine: work hard as a new pediatrics resident, plan her wedding to an older, financially secure man, keep her head down and heart tucked away. But when she runs into Elliot Petropoulos--the first and only love of her life--the careful bubble she's constructed begins to dissolve. Once upon a time, Elliot was Macy's entire world--growing from her gangly bookish friend into the man who coaxed her heart open again after the loss of her mother.only to break it on the very night he declared his love for her. Told in alternating timelines between Then and Now, teenage Elliot and Macy grow from friends to much more--spending weekends and lazy summers together in a house outside of San Francisco devouring books, sharing favorite words, and talking through their growing pains and triumphs. As adults, they have become strangers to one another until their chance reunion. Although their memories are obscured by the agony of what happened that night so many years ago, Elliot will come to understand the truth behind Macy's decade-long silence, and will have to overcome the past and himself to revive her faith in the possibility of an all-consuming love.It takes about 5 Hours and 11 minutes on average for a reader to read Love and Other Words. This is based on the average reading speed of 250 Words per minute.

Spoilers** Too hyped!

I couldn't create an image or feel a connection to the characters because of their lack of depth. The relationship between Macy and Elliot was boring. I didn't want to read anymore, but I kept going because I hoped the story would get better. It was rushed at the end. There is too much hype for this book.

Poor quality print

A review on the story is not necessary. The copy I received is not as good as the versions I have seen in stores. I cannot read the left page without making a crack in the binding.

It's one of my favorite books of the year. The book is full of love but less quirky. Just read it and make a decision.

This book is really special!
Derived From Web , Jul 11, 2018
I finished Love and Other Words last night. I didn't want it to end. Ever! Thank you so much for this love letter to Northern California and books and words and soul- friends! I didn't know I needed a love letter. I went to college in San Francisco after growing up in Berkeley and Albany. I've been to all of them. I went to camp along the river. The Russian River floods were a disaster. After I grew up, my parents moved to Windsor from Gualala, where they had a vacation house. This book made me feel at home. The locations were just the icing on the cake, they weren't what I loved about this book. I don't think I can explain to anyone why this is special to me. The love and the pain in this book are very touching to me. What is your favorite word? Thank you for consuming!
