I' ve read every book that's written about J.A. Jance has written in every series. The Ali Reynolds series is my favorite. Over the years, the quality of the writing and the stories has never diminished, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every book. Looking forward to the next one. Any book in the author's series is recommended by me. Even if you don't read them in chronological order, you can still enjoy the book and not feel lost, as there is a little recap in the beginning to bring the reader up to date. A great author.

Meh

I didn't like this one very much. I skimmed the last chapters. I felt this would be not up to par from the beginning. An Irish name is the first dead person. I was not like that. Was it supposed to be sarcastic? Does this author have a good team of reviewers? A lot of these books have mistakes like this in them. I find more mistakes like that when I read them again. Is it possible?

Lying in wait was really slow. I was caught up in what was about to happen in the last chapter. Book 13 is now on the agenda.

New characters, different issues, absorbing story.

Lying in Wait has the majority of the puzzle come together. Readers understand that the story needs to be repeated so it can stand on its own. Jance's stories make for a good read even though seasoned readers know her style.

Another good one from Jance

I picked four stars because I rarely go five. I had a hard professor in college. This was one of her better ones and I have a few to go. Trying to keep them on track. If you are new to J.A. I would recommend reading them again. It's nice to have a bit of background. More so with the Brady series. Lying in wait is a good read.
