My Madeline loves fountains and statues and has another grand daughter, the Book of Madeline. I was taken back to learn that it was about stealing. Otherwise, it is a beautiful book.

I enjoyed this book and felt like the story and art stayed true to the original. If you don 't like it, it is probably because you are a fascist.

The Kids of Foster City, Ca.
Derived From Web , May 28, 2022
I was asked to join a first grade class that consisted of 20 six-year-old boys and girls. I had lived in Rome for several years, so that the book John Bemelmans Marciano Madeline And The Cats of Rome appealed to me. It is a very well executed work with wonderful art work, which is true to the city. The children loved it and had many questions and opinions about the city and cats. After reading the story, they all seemed to enjoy it thoroughly and wanted to talk about it. For me it was a very rewarding experience to see children enjoying themselves being transported to a beautiful place with an exciting story about other children and the famous cats of Rome. I award it an AAA + Sincerely, John Ryckman, San Francisco, Ca.
