What if I told you that the last thing you want from a potential acquirer is a term sheet? Or that the casualty of a bidding war is most likely going to be you? Or the presentation you use when you meet with investors is almost the opposite of the one you should use with strategic partners? Or that acquirers' efforts to reduce their risk when making an acquisition can often increase the likelihood of their failure? Startup acquisitions are counterintuitive. Many of the moves your intuition would lead you to make are wrong. These bad moves can hurt, or kill, a deal. The good news is-once you've absorbed this book-you won't be one of the mistake makers. This book is going to give you a framework for attracting acquisition interest, and if you choose to pursue being acquired, it's going to show you how to optimize and close the deal.
It takes about 5 Hours and 0 minutes on average for a reader to read Magic Box Paradigm: A Framework for Startup Acquisitions. This is based on the average reading speed of 250 Words per minute.

Doing Monetization Right
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
A colleague recommended a new book. I' ve spent most of my career helping inventors, technology companies, and investors figure out how to monetize their intellectual property. It's hard to find and close the right deal, unless their technology is in the unicorn quadrant. It is not about selling your company. It is about creating opportunities for your startup. The casualty in a bidding war is you. The money shot is true, even though some of the advice may sound counter- intuitive. I wish I'd read this book 15 years ago, I sold my first company.

Great overview of startup acquisition process - from beginning to end
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
This book is a must have for anyone involved in the startup world, because it is written by someone with years of professional MandA and investing experience. The book is easy to read and has a lot of knowledge. I enjoyed reading about how to craft and present your story, and the differences between approaching potential investors and acquirers. The second half of the book cover contains a lot of information about a typical deal process. The book is written by a doctor, which makes it relevant. I will recommend this read to my friends and colleagues.

Beautifully written and extremely well articulated
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
The person simply nails it. Beautifully written and well articulated. The art of MandA is not shared openly or accurately. A no BS approach is taken by Ezra. It's a must read for startup CEOs. I will be sharing this with the CEOs of my portfolio companies.

Refreshingly Practical, Pro-Entrepreneur Point of View
Derived From Web , Feb 8, 2022
Couldn't stop reading the book. It's very relevant to any entrepreneur. The approach to startups and MandA is different from the one the VCs take. It's a pro- entrepreneur take that every startup CEO should read.
