   Great Gift
I gave it as a gift. My sister likes to cook. My daughter loved the cookbook that I gave her after she was learning to cook. I decided to make my sister happy too. It was a perfect gift. My sister has a cookbook and she cooks a lot of dishes. I will be going to visit her soon to try her dishes.

Should have read some lower star reviews!
If you want to see if this book is what you are looking for, you should do the same. I enjoyed reading the book, but the recipes were just meh. Four recipes were tried. The pancake tastes good but nothing special. Syrian donuts are very dry and hard, but maybe it's the way they are supposed to be? Kids like them the first day. The proportion of cinnamon squares is not appropriate. The recipe calls for 30 minutes baking time. They are already burned. I will make my own dough. Almond chicken isn't special and wouldn't follow the recipe again. I think there's a better version somewhere else. Two stars for the book.

Such an easy to use cookbook
The recipes in this cookbook are fun to make. The illustrations and instructions are easy to follow. The cookbook is set up in a way that I like. The materials used to make the cookbook are of good quality and should last many years. The next Magnolia Table cookbook will be added to the collection.

Recipes don't turn out as expected
The book is beautiful, but it ends there. The book can't stay open. To keep it open, you need a heavy cookbook holder that can hold one side. The binding design is tight. I was excited to try some of the recipes in the book, but they didn't turn out as I had expected. I'm not sure if the proportions are off, or if the testing process wasn't thorough, but basic things were almost inedible. The orange walnuts breakfast rolls were completely inedible because of the dry cookies and other things that were in the butter. I'm a good cook and follow the recipes that I'm told to. I give up after a lot of disasters. I will give this one to someone. You can check it out from the library.

Healthy for the mind, not body!
There is a good variety of recipes and explanations. Most of the recipes I tried turned out delicious. It is not a book I will use to make healthy recipes. My only reason for deducting a star is that I end up wasting a lot of food if I don't have enough. A recipe that says it serves 6 could easily feed 10, but a different recipe with the same number could only serve 3-4.

   Condensed soup? Really?
I bought the cookbook because of the good reviews. There are lots of tasty sounding recipes in the book. Condensed canned soup and Uncle Ben's wild rice blend are used in some recipes. There is a tube of crescent rolls mentioned. Is it really? Is it overprocessed, packaged ingredients? It's really bad. That is a real disappointment. I gave the book three stars because there are lots of other recipes that don't include packaged ingredients. I was looking forward to trying the chicken pot pie, but it was just vegetables in canned cream of chicken soup with a roll of pillsbury crescents. My rating has been revised to 1 star. What about Velveeta? Is it really? Is fatayer made with cheese and canned biscuits? For the life of me, I can't understand how this cookbook gets so many good reviews. They aren't deserved.

   Cook book guild winner!
A monthly cookbook guild is hosted by a local library, where members agree to prepare one dish from a title. This title was approved in October of 2019. We had only praise for the easy ingredients lists, the very clear directions, and the delicious results, even though we shared concern for the richness of the food. The members were planning to purchase or borrow the book in the future.

   Wonderful book!
A wonderful book! This rare find is well-made and comes with hard covers so it will last a long time. The photos were well shot. The language of the book made me feel like I was listening to a conversation. The recipes are very good. Not for you if you're on a diet that involves real butter, real cream, etc. The food is delicious! The best cookbook I've ever owned. I have quite a few. I look forward to her next publication.

Great recipes with everyday normal ingredients!
I love this cookbook and was inspired by my sister who had sent me a picture of what she had cooked. She said everything tasted good and I was sold. I've made chocolate chip cookies and they taste like they came from a bakery. My husband is an excellent cook and he said he wouldn't change a thing in the recipe because he loved it. He can be critical but he said this recipe was perfect and that he should have suggested something else. I have to thumb through the book to find the recipes because the pages are not numbered. I don't know if all the books are like that or if I got one they didn't number. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of that. !

Not healthy, not too many original recipes
The book has a lot of recipes. We have made a few recipes from the book that are not very good. The recipes on the book are not original and I am sure everyone has made a version of them already. The recipe for guacamole is the same as mine. Fixxer Upper did not impress me. There are too many pictures of the family and not enough food.
