Book Overview

Following the launch of her #1 New York Times bestselling cookbook, Magnolia Table, and seeing her family's own sacred dishes being served at other families' tables across the country, Joanna Gaines gained a deeper commitment to the value of food being shared. This insight inspired Joanna to get back in the kitchen and start from scratch, pushing herself beyond her comfort zone to develop new recipes for her family, and yours, to gather around. Magnolia Table, Volume 2 is filled with 145 new recipes from her own home that she shares with husband Chip and their five kids, and from the couple's restaurant, Magnolia Table; Silos Baking Co; and new coffee shop, Magnolia Press. From breakfast to dinner, plus breads, soups, and sides, Magnolia Table, Volume 2 gives readers abundant reasons to gather together. The book is beautifully photographed and filled with dishes you'll want to bring into your own home, including:

  • Mushroom-Gruy re Quiche
  • Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bread
  • Grilled Bruschetta Chicken
  • Zucchini-Squash Strata
  • Chicken-Pecan-Asparagus Casserole
  • Stuffed Pork Loin
  • Lemon-Lavender Tart
  • Magnolia Press Chocolate Cake

   Great cookbook
I was looking for a recipe to make for dinner when I read the review. I loved all the recipes in the cookbook when I first read it. I would recommend this book to my friends.

   Great cookbook!
I like this cookbook. I got the second book because I found many good recipes in the first one. I was not disappointed. So many fun things to try and so far so good! I love Jo and these books.

   Easy to follow recipes!
The cook book is beautiful. My husband and I were getting tired of eating the same things over and over, so I looked for cook books and found this one! The book has solved my lack of motivation when it comes to cooking. The honey garlic chicken with pineapple is one of my favorites.

   Excellent
Everything my wife has made out of the cookbooks is incredible. I am not a fan of this food, but it is top notch. Would definitely recommend. These recipes make a lot of food, so they make a lot of food. After making these, we give a family of four a meal and have a lot of leftovers.

Great Continuation of the First Volume!
Some people weren't fond of her recipes so I was hesitant to get this cookbook. I am happy that I got it. A lot of her recipes don't require you to buy a lot of unfamiliar ingredients, that's what I love about this cookbook. It's comforting. She has basic recipes like bread and gnocchi. Great addition to my collection.

My wife is going to love this
My wife got this from the kids. She has been talking about this book for a long time. She is going to be very happy to get this. We are also as well. I can't wait for us to try some of the recipes.

   Silo Cookies
The Silo's cookies were the first to be made. I halved the recipe to make them taste great. The girls wanted pasta so I was going to stop. I made Jo's Marinara and it was very easy to make. Shrimp scampi was made with angel hair pasta. It is. Was. It's amazing. We used garlic, parsley, and sun dried tomato butter to make Garlic Knot rolls and braided loaf. The roasted chicken was put in the smoker on Mother's Day. The pound cake was handed out. The lentil soup was great. We used lamb instead of ham. The kids loved the breakfast. Our sitter ate the sweet rolls and we never see her eat again. They are worth sharing. Salad vinaigrette was a delicious dish for two nights. The book is to replace other books.

   Great Quality, Great Content
There are easy and unique recipes in the cookbook. This edition is better than the first one for those who bought the first book. Having a cookbook like this one makes it easy to try new things.

Everything I have made so far has been good!
I could use a few less bread recipes in this cookbook. The book is flat and stays open when you are cooking.

   Large number of cooking ideas
There are a lot of ideas in the book that I have never thought of before. It should be enjoyable. Even though it is a hard bound book, there was no packing materials in the box that I received.
