Great easy comprehensive read with my five-year-old who is so excited to learn more about Dr. KING. In addition to our civil rights and kindness lessons learned. This was an important addition to the introduction of such an amazing man and movement.

Great book for kids!

I bought this book so that we can read and learn more about Dr Martin Luther King Jr. There are so many great facts and tidbits in this book that it really kept the kids interested the whole time. I also love how there are questions in the back of the book to ask the children to make sure they understand and remember what they read. My kids are 12 and 5, much of what went on in the book went over the five-year-olds head, but my 12 year old understood everything and enjoyed it.

We first read it months ago to honor MLK jr. Day and my son still brings up the act of being hit with a brick and being calm, centered and peaceful enough to not be hit back.
