Mary Anne's Bad-Luck Mystery
Derived From Web , May 31, 2022
ISBN 0590415859 - I really like all BSC books, but this one is just a little better than the average. When bad things start to happen, the girls are a little freaked out and then a bad luck charm arrives for Mary Anne. With it is a note telling her that she has to wear it or else! Will they figure things out before anything happens REALLY bad? And as Halloween draws nearer, Jamie Newton helps Jessi become a little less afraid of costumes. Kristy has to deal with her younger siblings'fears about the spooky holiday. The best moment in the book - A bird has gotten into the Pike house and shooed out a window. Santa Claus, noting that the bird came in via the chimney, asks Claire Pike if the bird knows Santa Claus. AnnaLovesBooks -

Still pretty early in the series

Deals with witchcraft, to which children should not be exposed. Why would any high school girl want the nickname Stacy beyond me unless... Well, anyway, this is one of the ones where Cokie is absent.

BABY-SITTERS CLUB GOT HER READING AND KEPT HER READING
Derived From Web , Nov 15, 2019
Of course, interests vary, so that book choices must be tailored to each individual child. When my older daughter discovered the Baby-Sitters Club books, I knew that I was onto something. I bought 100 of these books, all of which she devoured. At that age, anything that keeps them reading and gets them reading is a win. From this perspective, I can recommend these books highly. She now teaches fourth grade... and took the books to her classroom! One of the characters has diabetes type I. While I applaud the inclusion of any character with a disability in children's books, mistakes were made. We know this because my younger daughter has diabetes type I. But even that proved educational because we discussed diabetes situations as they arose.

Good but.....

Good story, but it was the most obvious ending! I knew who did it like 30 pages before he announced it in the book. It was not a good book otherwise.

😕EH!

I liked this book but I wish it could have been scarier and the person who sent the necklace had been like a murderer or something scary like that. Always reviews by Daphne.
