Come on! I am the illustrator, but this book is written so beautifully by Ms Tammi Sauer! It is fun and moves so beautifully! I also adore that it is a little African American girl who comes to save the day! So empowering on so many levels. She has done a ton of amazing books and I think she will continue doing it for years to come!

A lovely story about a quirky little girl

The illustrations are sweet, the story is gorgeous and the Rhyming helps keep my attention for 11 months old. I've tried to find books with black girls as the protagonist. Most such stories focus on self-esteem, especially loving our hair and brown skin, which is important, but I also want books for my baby about little brown girls having adventures and fun. This book is exactly It is my current favorite in our VERY large collection of children's books!

I bought this book after a friend's daughter was told that she could not be White at school because she is black and not white. This book is especially necessary for girls of color! I am so grateful for the author and the illustrator for creating such a book. A favorite at our home!

Such a Good Picture Book!

It is rhyming in a snub format that is pleasing to the ear. The vividly colored, detailed illustrations complete the story and bring it to perfection. The message was told through the age-appropriate activities of the Mother Goose characters, who are diverse by the way : it is one that every child should hear it, and it is okay to tone it down when the occasion calls for it.
