May I Please Have a Cookie is now one of her favorite books. I know all children are different
My daughter is 21 months old. I ordered 30 picture books for her age from a bunch of books. One of her favorite books is May I Please Have a Cookie. This book is enjoyable for my child. I don't know what it is about the book, but it works. She likes smelling the cookies and pretending to cry. She is saying please with the book. Your child will love this book. Hop on Pop, The Very Busy Spider and Brown Bear are some of her favorites.

Great for a 4 year old!!
The book is great for new readers. I got this book for my nephew who just turned 4. He started reading when she was 3 years old. The book is good for him. Not many easy words. There were not many hard words. It was just enough to keep him interested. Since he got it, he has read it every day. I'm very happy with this one. Great purchase.

   Easy read
It's meant for a young child. I would recommend it for kindergarten and first grade if it didn't use mom. The illustration is a great read for beginners. I gave it a 3 star because of that. Not impressed with my mom.

   BEST Easy Reader!!!
The best easy reader. My family is very fond of this book. It has all the marks of a great, "read it again and again" story, which is a rare statement for an easy ready book of this level. The character and his determination to rise to the challenge of his mother. The art has awesome non-verbals. The belly laugh is subtle. The affection between mother and child is perfect. This is a great book for an early reader to own because it is a rewarding story to read alone, read aloud, and read over and over again without losing its specialness.

Was a hit with my 6 year old
My 6 year old loved this story. She didn't know all the words but I liked that the story wasn't long and drawn out like other books that claim to be for beginner readers. She giggled at all of the antics.
