Maybe? A good supplemental text👎
Derived From Web , Feb 4, 2021
Through covid, we have been working through IXL, hillmy math on our own and found them really great. It's mostly review from 5th grade, but it just really is underwhelming. While the previous volumes were pretty great at illustrating, engaging and walking through a lesson, my kid just skips over the instruction portion and just tries to figure out the problem. Simply put, never enough room to show your work allows your kid to be disorganized and show work in margins. HD Wallpaper and background images in the club tagged: photo. Cost is great, but the book needs double the amount of pages and someone to break down the instruction in a much more engaging way. And hey, how about adding 6-7 pages for an answer key Yuck? Our tutor would switch to English. I feel like we're sliding back, Tunick said.

No answer key for Pretest and Update
Derived From Web , Aug 30, 2020
The test has no answer key. Update Answer keys for pretest, posttest and all unit tests can be found in the lesson answer keys section. Took me 2 months to find them! Still, I give the book 4 stars because it needs more practice.

Example Error In Workbook
Derived From Web , Aug 5, 2020
In this math book, lesson, 10.4, page 58, there is an example error. The example says: "Place these decimals in order from least to greatest." In step 4, the last line of the example clearly says 4 is greater than 1.', but still in step 5 it says 0.7,.34,.31,.186. It should have been 0.7,.31,.34,.186.

It is an OK supplement book
Derived From Web , Jul 29, 2020
Second, I have a background in mathematics, therefore I expected this supplement to help my children during the summer. However, there are some wrong answers in the answer key and it creates a very poor experience. Especially when discussing rounding and estimation. Better proof reading and quality control are needed. I scored three stars because it offered teachers and my children the opportunity to learn. The steps provided on each page are clear and concise, making them easy to follow. However, when the problems appear, some answers may be incorrect in the answer key. This discourages the student and creates doubt in their minds. I do not recommend this publication unless you can explain to your children why the answer key is wrong in terms they can understand.

Comprehensive
Derived From Web , Jun 2, 2020
This is a comprehensive math workbook. I wanted to point out that the top critical review states that the pretest and posttest answers are not included but I was able to find them. The test questions are in a later section that deals with pre- and post-test and unit final tests.

6th Grade Math Workbooks
Derived From Web , May 15, 2020
This workbook was just what I needed. It includes a pre-test and post-test plus many pages of worksheets beginning with a small bit of instruction. I wish the instruction was better, but I have another book for that. Like the other progress tests, I'm not sure what the third one is. I bought this to use for my son to practice his math over the summer and to cover what he missed on during the COVID crap. It's just perfect.

Very good math book
Derived From Web , Apr 26, 2020
I bought this for my kids during the COVID-19 temporary school closure uncertainty of continued education plans. Just as good as their school issued math books. I have used it for reference on several occasions while helping with math homework. I will be using over the summer to keep them thinking and will buy the next grade level when I need it.

Mixed feelings
Derived From Web , Sep 3, 2019
I am against common core. Let's start with that. I tutored math and have taught my child based on methods I used as a child. However, it is a good supplementary workbook and I see that in some areas I will utilize my chalkboard wall. No partial credit was available. If you are all about common core, this does the trick.

Poor design
Derived From Web , Jun 19, 2019
I just bought this book to help my daughter brush up on her math skills over the summer. When I went to correct the pretest to see where we needed to focus our attention, I found there was no answer key for either the pretest or posttest. Other lessons have the answer keys but not the pretest or posttest. When I called the company to try to obtain these answer keys, they were unaware that they were not in the book. Advertising the book contains answer keys to all work if there is no answer key to the pretest and posttest? Very disappointed.

Great math book for homeschooling
Derived From Web , Mar 3, 2019
It has a part that shows how to do the math problem and has a key to make checking your child's work easier! I'd prefer this book more than the spectrum math book.
