One favorite series

My 6 yo absolutely loves this series, and we have collected many. The other night I found these and my girl got hooked. First grader Alexander Pearson is not shy about saying he reads. The book deals with the culture of Muslims and Hindus without any involvement of religion which makes them more versatile to be read by all cultires. A great series of books.

Representation Matters
Derived From Web , Feb 11, 2021
We borrowed this book along with others from the series and loved them all. I'd buy my 5 year old all of them. Fatima's son is a Muslim. And she couldn't help but notice that the girl next to her was a character she didn't only resembled but connected too! It's critical to have children who are able to connect with and understand the world around them. Like any other girl her age, Yasmin will do anything to get what she wants. And I am so happy to have a series, Melissa said.

Just ok, according to an 8 year old girl
Derived From Web , Jul 18, 2020
It was my niece who bought it for me. This is true because I wasn't very into the story because I liked other books better. But a few words were hard because they were in a different language. But I did like that there were some different stories told in one book.

Cute Book That Kids Can Relate To
Derived From Web , Jun 4, 2019
My daughter absolutely loved it, and I bought it for her 2nd grade. She actually decided to play with it, and she lined up her stuffed animals and read! It's a very kid-friendly book, too, by the way. Yasmin is a cute, spunky girl, and the stories show us how it doesn't matter what color our skin is, we all have families and friends and events in our lives that are similar, Boudin said. It's nice to see a chapter book for early readers with a girl of color as the main character, but that doesn't necessarily why my daughter liked it or why she was excited when her teacher also had the book to read to the class. My daughter liked it because the main character was relatable and the story was well-written, too. The illustrations are delightful, the book says.

I kind of went on a yasmin-buying spree after ordering the first two and my daughter loved them, but I was able to donate this to the school library and it gets a lot of attention..

1st and 2nd grade readers will love Yasmin's adventures
Derived From Web , Oct 4, 2018
This book is one of a growing number of entry level chapter books with bright pictures, witty one-line quips and even a few questionable spelling mistakes. The book is also the only one of its kind to have all three of the archangels. Thanks for the invitation.

Yasmin the Amazing!
Derived From Web , Sep 7, 2018
Meet Yasmin, a fresh face to the fashion world. In her book, "Persuasion," Faruqi tells the story of an engaging Pakistani girl who works with a translator to solve problems that children face. The illustrations by Aly Hatem are just perfect. I can't wait to share Yasmin with my students! I think this book would be enjoyed by students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, emerging readers or English language learners. Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this sweet chapter book!

Grit and heart!
Derived From Web , Aug 1, 2018
There are so few diverse books available for girls like Yasmin to read, Sosa said. It's great to read through it and wished that my kids were not teenagers having this available when they were little ones. One of the endearing characters is Yasmin, a timid girl who has heart and grit. This is the kind of books parents across the world would love reading their kids before they go to bed and a great accompaniment for children that are trying to read as well. 0 14622 This is the kind of books parents across the world would love reading their kids before they go to bed and a great accompaniment for kids that are trying to read as well.
