My daughter absolutely loved it, said Blair. She also said that Mel was "a very determined and confident person. She also cracked up at the comments of the other characters trying to help Mel. The illustrations are beautiful and witty, and the story is told with a certain amount of compassion. A great book, Gillian.

A Delight!
Derived From Web , Feb 24, 2021
It's a totally charming story about a little bird who takes a courageous leap of faith and plunges herself whole-heartedly into becoming who she is meant to be, despite a community of concerned animals who try to rescue her, Bernadette Peters writes. The physical book itself, with its six-legged protagonist, cleverly takes the reader along the fall and rise of this special bird. Beautifully told, this is a story of two masters of the English language. This is by far the best book I have ever read.

This book is so creative and fun to read, Melissa. The boys love to read the book over and over and over again and love the interactions of the book flip and the fun twist mid-way through. Great story, Mr. Dhaliwal said.
