   Great book!
The layout of the book is great. It can be used for early intermediate and up levels. The exercises are written like songs, but I like how each study focuses on a particular key and scale. It seems like it will be more interesting than the standard fingering exercises. I hope it's ok to post a sample page.

   Outstanding Book!
A book of scales and etudes is what it is. A beginner will benefit more from this book than a method book. If a more advanced player performs these pieces following the tempo and dynamic markings as arranged, they will get a great workout, have fun, and maybe learn a few things along the way. It would be easier to use a spiral binding.

   Classic studies book
I bought this book when I was in middle school and used it through college. This is the basis for many of the great works, such as the Mozart Concerto and provides a wonderful foundation for the clarinetist as well as someone who has been playing for a long time. This collection is great for intermediate to advanced musicians.

   Dry, not so melodious
The book is just an exercise book and it is organized around keys. Most of the pieces are scales and arpeggios. It is an add on for technical studies and does hit all the keys, but there is no great joy in playing these pieces. I prefer to play pieces and transcriptions when I need a break from technical work. This is a dry book. Not sure if it's worth the cost.
