Great dictionary. Easy to see/read and works perfect for my kids.
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
I bought this book for my children, who are 9 and 11 years old, because our standard Merriam-Webster dictionary was just too confusing and tiny for beginners - dictionary users. This is just perfect for my kiddos, so when they ask me what a word means or how to spell it, I can say look it up and they can. I even find it a basic look up, though it is more advanced in the extras, it is perfect for our every day needs.

Great dictionary of size! Purchased for my dad, who turned 80 and loves it! He looks up words and highlights them and if ever needs them again, they're a quick find! He says that the book is amazing!

Best dictionary for vocabulary retention
Derived From Web , Jul 7, 2020
My father uses this dictionary to help him remember words. It is his way of keeping his mind active while battling dementia. I bought two dictionaries for the first time. He bought them so much that I used him two more. They have enough words and a big enough print for his needs.

I would buy it again. I had no problem with the original, but my husband could not see the print, so we received this one and he says it is much better.

Easy to read dictionary
Derived From Web , Jan 26, 2020
The definitions are very short-contrast, as it states. It is a pretty thick book, about 1 and a 12 inches thick, with a little weight added. It comes with 35,000 words, so it will not be as comprehensive as even a small paperback dictionary with 60,000 entries, but I find it has most of the words I looked up in the short time I have had it. What makes it great is that it is so easy to see words and definitions without having to squint.

Contented Word Seeker
Derived From Web , May 16, 2019
The book was a marginal book, therefore I expected a condition that would be used at best. I found that the cosmetic appearance was not an issue ; its content is what matters. Granted a few dog eared pages, no torn pages, no dried spill liquid issues, basically a very readable much appreciated piece of valuable definitions. In summary, the large print edition is obtaining. My usage of English vocabulary increased my eye fatigue and reduced my eye fatigue. Hence, I am very pleased with the five - star rating.

Words I don't know....
Derived From Web , Nov 22, 2018
This dictionary is the best I found for myself. I have bought a few in my time, and I'd rather have a book to look up a word than rely on a phone. I have given up all social media and I don 't miss FaceBook or Twitter! Too much fake socializing these days leads to no empathy and too many stpid opinions! No overs! I love the feel of a book in my hands, one I will never get over!
