   A Classic
Years later, I still have an older version of this because I learned so many prefix and suffix meanings which helped develop my vocabulary. It was a present from my nieces.

   Must have
Very fast shipping, very good value for money, said Dr. Chester Floyd, director of the Royal Solomon Islands Tourism Development Authority. Thanks for the support!

   Great dictionary/thesaurus
This was a great tool to help our children learn how to look up words a different way. This works perfectly, Apple said. It makes it so easy to not have the flip through multiple books. The book is not heavy, unlike the bible.

one of 4 great vocabulary books
One of the best-selling books of all time. The book uses a technique called "rooting" to build vocabulary. At the end of each unit there is also a more words section, Latin and Greek. The book is highly recommended. The other two books are Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis and Word Workout by Charles Harrington Elster. After that, you need to read lots and read widely. But he failed to pick up the most important thing — to read a lot and read widely. Review the entire list of books by clicking here. Simply browse through thesaurus of your choice. Go through the pages of this book and you will find all the answers to common questions. Vocabulary expands when you use the word 'addition,' which is what scientists call it.

   s gem
This is a gem and an inexpensive gem for 3 bucks with a prime free 2 day shipping. The book is very well written and the choice of words is just useful without many esoteric words you will never use. The front cover is small, but the back is thin. For now, I would go for a more expensive print. If you are serious about learning English, this book is for you.

A lot more than I thought (in a good way)
It's great to see that people are reading the book. This book really gives regular and correct spelling of the words along with the Latin root word which makes it easy for me to remember words and definitions.

   Good Intermediate Learning Resource
For word aficionados of any post-intermediate level, the work was a bit elementary and trite, without elaborate development or explanation. Good for late high school or early college students who want to improve basic word-building skills. It was a good reminder of things you might have forgotten. My biggest disappointment in the Kindle version was the end of chapter quizzes that were not efficiently or interactively linked to the answers or provided immediate scoring, making this learning-assessment tool virtually unusable. With a little development, this could have made the book more engaging and interactive, Kirk said. It's just that the DVD is so good, I think.

5 stars for the book and 1 for the defective print.
The builder was recommended to me by a librarian who had just finished reading a book. The quality of the printed product is generally considered to be below par. It was printed in May 2017 in the US and many pages, mostly in the end, have text imprinted from following pages. The appearance of the text is still readable, but the legibility of the message is compromised.

   Very useful!
It's still useful to have to look up certain words. The Kindle edition makes it easy to navigate through the book and look for definitions, footnotes and other pages. Good investment.

   Great book.
I have a pretty extensive English vocabulary and have used flash cards in the past. But, over time, it becomes more difficult to find useful synonyms. Some are just too long or obscure to try to memorize or use them. The rest is known to me, Mr. Rule told the judge. This book managed to introduce some useful words and also hasetymological information which further elucidates the real meaning of the word by exploring its origin.
