A caring Child and His Dragon

My 3 - 12 year old granddaughter loves this book. I bought her a dragon and this book. There are delightful details of the protagonist's life and how a dragon would fit it and what he would do to take care of the dragon. Beautiful, brightly colored illustrations.

I Want THIS Dragon...

When I was a kid, I wished I had a dragon, just like the one in this book. For one thing, he would have eaten my Brussels sprouts. Actually, that would have been enough for a reason alone. The Dragon in Me and My Dragon is such a friendly dragon that my four-year-old son thinks he says : Good morning, little boy. Have a wonderful day! The story is fabulous, whimsical, but what really sets this book apart and makes me want to buy it are the adorable, whimsical and slightly off-beat and ridiculously brilliant illustrations.

Just wish that it did not make the obedience school sound like regular school because now my daughter is super confused about why school is considered a punishment. Not something I want to read every time we explain the book!

Bought as a gift for our 4 year old grandson. Before gifting, read the book. Some of the items in the story are incompatible with the messages we promote. If the dragon is naughty, he will be sent to school. If the child does not want his vegetables, he can give them to the dragon. There were a few others. Most probably won 't know, but we wanted to object to others.

I've bought this for my relative for Christmas. He loves dinosaurs a lot and I love dragons so I bought him this book. Unfortunately, this book is almost all about pictures. Along with the pictures, I was hopping for a lot more text to engage him into reading. To summarize, this book is great for small children who are just learning to read.

The book is of good size with bright illustrations and easy to read text. Son is 9 and loves it! I thought the boxing method could be better thought out. It was just laying in the box and 2 bottles not wrapped in anything that would have gotten on the book if it was leaked! Luckily, this did not happen, but was a recipe for disaster! So, order separate from any liquid containers, JUST IN CASE!

I bought this book for a grand niece or a grand nephew. Their mothers both have Ph.D.'s, so the kids read pretty early because the mothers make it a point of including reading into their everyday activites. They were Christmas presents and the bots were thrilled with the choices!

An absolute favorite for a 4 year old who loves dragons and dinosaurs!

I bought this for my 4 year old grandson and he absolutely loves this book! My daughter said this is the first book he requests at bedtime every night. She and my son in law have gotten so tired of reading it that they asked if they could keep it in my house, lol! He even makes them read the pages with no words on them and quickly points out that they are not properly reading them!
