   Beautiful cookbook
I've been reading Dana's blog for a year now, and I absolutely love how easy and delicious her recipes are. This book will not disappoint. The pictures are amazing and the recipes are filled with delicious-sounding combinations. It does contain a substantial number of drinkssmoothies, which I don't really care for, especially in the breakfast section. One criticism I have is that the picture of the food sometimes appears after the recipe, and sometimes before, which can be offputting if you're a*** about things like that. I will update this review with pictures as I cook the book's recipes.    Beautiful cookbook with straightforward recipes.
The book is a beautiful collection of straightforward recipes. Some of the recipes are more time consuming than others but each recipe lists the prep, cooking and total time clearly. Two of the recipes were very good. I am a slow cook and it usually takes me more time to prep meals than listed on recipes, but I was able to make both of these meals in time for the holidays, stated Mrs. Lee. It must be a real sweet tooth. Most of the recipes call for a generous amount of sweetener, preferably agave nectar. I reduced the maple syrup in the spicy tofu stir-fry to 1 Tbsp, and it was just right for my tastes. Many of the recipes are gluten-free or have GF alternatives, even though the majority of the baked goods are not. I have not tried them, but they look great.

   We LOVE this book
We're huge fans of the book, and we love the Coens. The box arrived the day I got home from giving birth, and my husband cooked a handful of meals from it. There are a lot of Beatles fans, and every single one was awesome.

   Don't Let "Baker" Throw You Off...
We carry great selection of vegan, gluten-free and paleo-friendly recipes. I haven't made anything from this book or her blog that I didn't like, nor has anybody else. Even for those just looking to cut back on meat and dairy consumption, this is a must-have. All dishes are appealing, fairly easy to make, and provide great tasting and healthy alternatives to many traditional favorites. I have read all the books except for this one. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

I thought there would be more baking, I thought, given the title. We're losing one or two recipes a week.

   Great recipes!!
This is by far the best cookbook I have ever read. They are not only delicious but very healthy and most of them are pretty easy to make. This is by far my absolute favorite cookbook to use. It's great to be back home, said Blair.

   Poorly written
Well, first of all, you guys need to look at a Betty Crocker cookbook. It's just that you cannot say, make to taste, what you want. If you want it more savory, add more. It's too confusing, even for me, to know what the tables are. I have enjoyed it, but in hard copy it needs loads of improvements. 0 2622010 2622070 It's great, but in hard copy it needs loads of improvements.    Some excellent recipes but absurd timings - expect everything to take twice as long as promised
The 4-star rating is based on the difficulty of the recipes, presentation and overall satisfaction with the product. Like most cookbooks, we like some of the recipes on Mr. Powell's blog and the book quite a bit. She goes to the well on a few go-to sauces, but there are still a good variety of vegan recipes here. Very good book, nice pictures, said Dr. Thomas. Lindner, co-author of the book. The big problem we have with MB recipes is the ridiculous overpromises about how quickly they can be prepared, said Michael Heinline of the Food Network. Only a handful of these are truly everyday, weeknight kind of meals. It can be extremely ambitious and time-consuming to prepare, and the prep steps can be fairly arduous without factoring in to the time. Before attempting to make any sauce, it is recommended that you double the time for any stated recipe. **Correction: This story was corrected to show that Dr. Shelby was a nurse, not a doctor.

   Used to be Vegan?
The way I see it is you're either Vegan or you just eat Plant Based. Note the writer is not vegan. This book seems to have, as described, minimal recipes that are plant-based, low-fat and GF options. The book is very good quality and has some nice photos, he said. I was super happy to receive this book as a gift, but was then discouraged to find out this author isn't actually vegan, so I feel as if I need to cross-check every recipe moving forward.
