Content is very good and core. I like the additional context to help it fit into the overall timeline of the OT. The part that makes me a bit is the optional application and sidebars for further study. Most, if not all, refer to the previous book chapterapter of the study. I found it to be a distraction and broke the rhythm of the current chapter. What I found more helpful is to think more deeply with the current book or book cover to think about how it relates to current events. If the author intended to reveal a bridge between books, it missed the mark with me. While there are common themes among the books of the Minor Prophets, the sections did little to improve my study of each of them.

   Great Study
Using this for personal studies and teaching the Sunday School. The basic questions pretty much stick to the text and there are questions on the side which allow you to explore different scriptures further and to look at basic texts that add richness to your studies. I really enjoyed the series Life Change.

   Easy read
Very easy to read the approach to learning the minor prophets in the Bible. I would recommend for anyone who is looking to learn more in depth about some of the shorter books in the Old Testament, which can sometimes be overlooked.

   Not very deep
I was hoping for a Bible study that delved into the Hebrew culture of the day, looked more closely at the actual Hebrew meanings of key words, and in general, went deeper.

We have used the Bible study for years in our Friday morning men's group and this one does an excellent job, like all the others.

   Mixed reaction -
My first book from the navies-and I am not sold on their style. Neither our Bible - study leader is Nor. I received the Kindle version so that I can make my responses to the questions on the notes feature. It works well, but Kindle gets the credit for it. I bring my laptop to Bible - study with me and have the Bible app open next to the book. I just click back and forth. I am used to a study Bible, and while the entire class uses this book, it seems to lack my study bibles. ( tiny insight ) : In addition to my own questions, lots of questions were asked. There is no indication as to what their answer is. Some questions have been called by our studying leader as '' stupid and we skip them. This is my first book of the minor prophets and this book seems to lack the list of books - the why question and context and the reaction to the prophecy aren 't addressed. This is maybe the Navigator - style, but seems to be a very diluted approach.
