So glad we got this book
It helped keep her entertained at some major tourist sites where she would have been bored ordinarily. In fact, we ended up staying longer in some places because she really wanted to find more items. I would say that this is a good book for children in the elementary school. The younger children will need to read it for them if they are not yet fluent readers. It got me to notice some things that I would have missed otherwise, such as the drainage system in the Pantheon.

   Worth the Trip
We are currently in Rome with our mission book and we love it! All 4 of our kids have a blast looking for details and learning about the city of Rome. I couldn 't have picked a better way to do the city. We have travelled many places in Europe and this book has given the children a way to remember what they saw and learned. I wish we had learned about this book before we visited London and Paris! We will purchase any city mission book for the cities we visit in the future!

He absolutely loved this, and it kept him engaged and interested ...
We looked for ways to keep our 9 year old interest during our family trip to Italy, while we took many tours to explore the city! He absolutely loved it, and kept him engaged and interested during the tours. Our tour guide even went out of his way to help him find things in the book.

   Loved this book!
Our seven-year-old had an opportunity to travel with us to Rome, but was not that excited because he didn 't know what to expect. We were so grateful to find this book -- it helped him learn about each of the places we visited by turning it into a game. We spent time reading ahead to where we would visit next to be sure that we knew what to look for. Having a little bit of an understanding of each location in advance ensured that he was engaged in each location. He achieved a blast, got his 100-point haul, and is eager to go back. Plus, as a parent, I appreciated that we could achieve the mission without going to every location in the book, and that there were some activities where we could award the amount of points we wanted. We will absolutely purchase other books in this series for future travel, and I recommend it to anyone traveling with children.

I couldn't be happier with this book!!!
We took a 2 week European vacation where we saw A LOT! We were concerned that our son would be very bored, while we looked at all museums and history and such. These books were a gift from God! He read the book on the way there to prepare for his hunt, then he was very attentive to everything around him, looking for his clues, monuments, etc. At one point, he even told us some facts he learned from the book that we did not know! Yes, we are getting old!

A well-written, thoughtfully-planned, unexpectedly delightful resource that adults have as much fun following as their kids
These are so much cooler than I thought they would be! I was expecting a basic scavenger hunt with obvious clues and was just hoping that it would help my son stay focused on our trip. Instead, I found a well-written, thoughtfully-planned, unexpectedly delightful resource that adults have as much fun as their children. We also bought the Paris one and it is just as great. I am definitely buying these for all our future trips, what a fantastic idea and so well-carried out.

If you're traveling with kids, get this book!
This book has transformed the vacation experience of our children! I wish there was one for every trip we travel. It was also fun and informative for grown ups! It all fitted seamlessly into the sightseeing we wanted to do. Our children are 11, 7 and 4 -- it was fun for them both.

   We love Mission books!
Mission Rome is the third mission book that our family has completed. We travelled with four children, from seven to twelve. We use metro rides or lunchtime to read the next area we're going to and preview the information in the book. I'll admit that occasionally adults have to find their interest, but we motivate them to pull out all the points with promises of gelato. They get pretty excited when they find what they are looking for. I appreciate how the books weave so easily into the tasks, so that the kids pick up a little history as they go.
